Liverpool pay City £1 million in "spy" settlement for hacking - biggest PL scandal

Hmmmm.

Call me cynical but 1) it's the Mirror 2) written by Steve Bates - One of Furgie's bum chums who has made a living in the last few years by slagging off City.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was never made public which club did hack city. If I was in charge I would inform the said club we know it's them and we expect to be signing their star player in the next few weeks for an undisclosed fee or we spill the beans.
hope its the rags and hope we dont lol

Believe they got away with these !

If true I wonder how far back it goes. May even be a factor in last summer's transfer fiasco hmmm didn't two of our main transfer targets go to two premier league rivals.

A couple of points on this,

Its a good move that the club have allowed this apparent theft of infrmation get into the press.
It sends out a message to whoever has either stolen data or attempted too, that the club are both aware that its happened and also that they are coming after you....

The theft of data is one offence in itself, however if a club were to act upon that stolen information they have compunded the crime ( maybe a bit strong but you know what I mean) by also gaininig from stolen information.
Thus if the premier league were to investigate then the punishment would be far greater if they have used the information for financial/business advantage.

Think Maclaren in formula 1, they got caught with ferrari data and it cost them £100+m in fines and there were other penalties and I think they also lost a sponsor or two as well

Poaching players is not what this is about at all, it is coroprate theft possibly by a competitor, and I doubt very much if our owners will let this one go away.
it might be done in private but it could get very dirty and public.

Whoever has done it will not be feeling very good about it this morning having read the papers....

they will find out that we are looking at players such as cavani, de rossi, fabregas.

along with every other 30 million plus player. and the same players that every other club wants.

we couldnt scout a cross a pensioner across the road badge.

The real value in this for others is our notes etc on the 16/17 year olds we have picked up from around the world and those we are looking at and want to pick up under the two amigos holistic approach.

Its gollum , Everton iirc use/used Football Manager So he must have hacked marwoods game file. Nothing to worry about though as all the players brought used all the Allocated budget on mediocre players on huge wages.

This will have happened in the last few weeks. There's no way you'd wait an entire year to bring in experts if this happened. Besides, it's quite clear that the reason we missed out on RVP et al last year is because we were trying to push through austerity signings getting players on bargain deals and RVP instead waited for the scum to offer him a "highest paid player in the PL" contract.
