Hmmmm.

Call me cynical but 1) it's the Mirror 2) written by Steve Bates - One of Furgie's bum chums who has made a living in the last few years by slagging off City.

My middle name is cynical, especially when rag master bates is involved.

A couple of points on this,

Its a good move that the club have allowed this apparent theft of infrmation get into the press.
It sends out a message to whoever has either stolen data or attempted too, that the club are both aware that its happened and also that they are coming after you....

The theft of data is one offence in itself, however if a club were to act upon that stolen information they have compunded the crime ( maybe a bit strong but you know what I mean) by also gaininig from stolen information.
Thus if the premier league were to investigate then the punishment would be far greater if they have used the information for financial/business advantage.

Think Maclaren in formula 1, they got caught with ferrari data and it cost them £100+m in fines and there were other penalties and I think they also lost a sponsor or two as well

Poaching players is not what this is about at all, it is coroprate theft possibly by a competitor, and I doubt very much if our owners will let this one go away.
it might be done in private but it could get very dirty and public.

Whoever has done it will not be feeling very good about it this morning having read the papers....
Good post

Skash-It isn't exactly the pentagon though is it. It's football at the end of the day.
Players ahve been stolen from clubs for yrs now. Giggs is the prime example.
Next to cancer, AIDS, starving Africans, Syrian Civil War, and the Israeli occupation of the Palestinians, no, it's not at all important. Next to petty theft and speeding offences, yes, it is important. It needs to be investigated and those responsible criminally prosecuted.

It's not often that I agree with you, I don't think some people really understand what is being alleged here

I reckon it's that 'LOVECITY', he seems to know a lot about players I've never heard of.......just saying.

Apart from knowledge passing to third parties there is also the financial aspect.

If we assume that these players would be bought on 1st July then that's 10million quid of wages we're down ;) also being serious we'd not have haggled with xfer fees.

Whoever it is their club need's points deductions/fine and compy to us.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. If you go on the transfer forum it's all there for anyone to see written by proper ITK's.

OMG......can you actually buy these books?

I like Mr N, I like.

Has to be Utd or Chelsea. No other clubs in the premiership would be looking at players of the same calibre/price as us and therefore would have no need to 'know' what we were doing.

Very naughty if true.
