Liverpool pay City £1 million in "spy" settlement for hacking - biggest PL scandal

I fear that predictably city will somehow become the fall guys here, for not following procedure and reporting and agreeing to a private settlement

They give the FA some bullshit answers and the FA say "Oh that's alright then".
And yet the FA are asking Liverpool for their comments. If City have forensic evidence, the FA will have to tread very carefully. If they are shown not to regulate the game despite evidence of malpractise that could land them in trouble.

Perhaps, but it we get hit, Liverpool will get whacked.

If any punishment happens (which I highly doubt), two fines and worst case scenario a suspended transfer ban for them.

I have no idea, but it feels like a Court of law issue, rather than a FA case. I think City's decision to do nothing at the time probably puts an end to it....

It does indeed feel like a criminal matter but that makes it more serious for Liverpool and the FA not less.
