Just got home after that debacle

Almost as embarrassing as the performance on the pitch were fellow City fans knocking the shit of each other in the back of 315....

Two reasons to be embarrassed in one day... i's certainly a roller coaster being a blue, even these days

Grow a pair and watch motd. Fuck me we can't have it all our own way. Win or lose have a booze remember? We got to embrace the defeats as well as the wins. Ducking away from the bad games isn't what we're about.
I had the "pleasure" of watching it live earlier this evening, so I'll pass on tonight, thanks. I'm generally awake early-ish on sunday though, so I might catch the repeat. A Newcastle implosion is always amusing. And I hear Cazorla's penalty kick was a thing of beauty.

When the manager shows so little respect (or understanding) of the opposition it is little wonder that the players are complacent. Yaya is not a holding midfield player but a lazy one and so is a liability unless supported by 2 grafters (the 2 Fs). Sterling is only fit to be an impact sub and when we are so vulnerable to counter attack. Someone with his lack of close control and poor decision making is at present a luxury we cannot afford against decent opposition. MDM and Mangala are back to where they both stated - losing games through poor play, poor decision making and lack of concentration. However, with no cover and a system which is clearly coached (and obvious to the opposition) means they are in trouble every time the offside trap fails (another repeated patter). It is also apparent that every new CB has struggled (Ottamendi was woeful up until recently but is clearly on form and his ability is streets ahead of either MDM or Mangala (who has been demonstrably poor in at least 50% of appearances).

MPs lack of tactical awareness and idiotic team selection is only surpassed by his stubbornness in trying to play a certain way irrespective of opposition, circumstances or context. Essentially 4 up front against a Klopp team is ridiculous - you would think he has never seen a Klopp team play - the result was predictable and obvious ( to everyone - fans, pundits, and really anyone who has ever kicked a ball or seen MOTD - even Robbie Savage!)

The Sevilla game showed what is possible, even without key players. I don't credit MP as his hand was forced with injuries so we had to take a more sensible approach and do what almost all successful teams have done in Europe. Bottom line is that MP is tactically inept and clearly unable to motivate - his stupidity and complacent disrespect of opposition filters through to the players who just think they need to turn up, keep possession (not so easy against good, high tempo teams) and win. We are not Barcelona ,who have an abundance of players with the technical skill and ease to receive the ball under pressure. We have DS, KDB, Kun and Yaya (if he fancies it) who have this ability. The rest are good players but not able to do this - hence there is a high risk of losing possession and being hit on the counter. We are actually better equipped to play on the counter with speed. none of this matters so much against poor opposition when we score and open up the game.

It is a shame that with the resources at MCFC we are saddled with a poor manager (don't get me onto the medical staff - repeated injuries of the same nature must raise questions in this area).

Lets hope for a response in midweek.

Was that in the south stand level 3?

Yes mate..... back row.. folks there with small kids shitting themselves... Not a fucking steward in sight.. too busy evicting smokers I guess

A very embarrassing day all round.... Liverpool got two right results this year, Sterling to us for an extortionate fee and landing Klopp... who pisses all over Pellegrini at present

Some right nobs on this thread, Zabba, Kompany, otamendi, Clichy, Nasri, silva, bony, Fernandinho, Aguero, all out got niggles or playing half fit, any team in the world would be massively affected, but that side put out today with 10 games in the next 39 days in consideration did about as good as you could expect, the scoose twats smelt death and grabbed us by the throat, hats off, they won't ever catch us like that again.

SS3 was a bit tense all game today!

That doesn't excuse the lack of organisation, inability to play simple passes or fight for 50/50's.
Regardless of injuries or players being half fit (our half fit player being the best on the pitch btw) that performance from start to finish was awful.
I'm sure there are plenty of nobs on this thread, it doesn't stop them being correct today.

That was bad today .
That reminded me of all the bad defeats we had against Liverpool in the 80s .
Although saying that Jimmy Frizzell team in 1987 only lost 1-0 to Liverpool .

Pellegrini looked to be totally clueless about how a Klopp team would be setup and play, he doesn't seem to take any notice of the opposition wether it's Barca or bottom of the 4th division team in the cup. If he firmly believes what he said I post match then I'm sure most of the crowd tonight could put him right. Never, under the previous manager did we have embarrassing results only once conceded more than 2 goals. His team selection is bizarre on occasions and substitutions baffling, his excuse for not putting Nacho on to replace Bony v Villa was totally contradicted when he brought him on today to replace Kun. His whole deameanour is reflected in the team. Capello was said a good manager makes a team 20% better and a bad one 70% worse well today proved that theory. This squad should be clear top of the league and should have won the league last season but Pellegrini is giving others hope let's hope the players pull him out of it sooner rather than later. LVG is ridiculed on here but he is far better than Mr Pellegrini and I expect them to finish far too close to us and if they make good signings in Jan then they will be above us. Personally I'd be on the phone to Ancelotti before someone else nicks him

Said this after the Norwich game. We were awful then and had it coming to us today. Poor team selection and poor tactics. That has cost us and we will not win the league. United and leicester are ahead of us!

So would I but it isn't going to happen. He was lucky not to be sacked after last season. We have basically put verything on Pep coming here in the summer.

Personally I more pissed off with how the Sports Science gang are strangling any chance a manager has of getting his best players on the field.

I can guarantee Silva, Kompany and Otamendi all start against Juventus. As will Fernandinho. Additionally we won't be taking our only goal threat off at 60 minutes because some Sports Scientist says so!

In short we are almost at the stage where we don't need a manager or even a motivator, rather just let the professors from the Sports Science Laboratory decide who plays, in what formation and when and who is substituted.

Simply put, the lunatics have taken over the asylum!
