Liverpool Post Match Thread

Pellergrini can't handle pressure. We keep fucking up and the blame keeps being his.

Fucking embarrassing.

We're so much better than that, but these players need a manager who can get them playing to their full potential.

For a second game in a row Manuel has got it all wrong. His decision vs Villa once Bony went off was questionable, his selection today before kick off was more so. To go into this game with a midfield duo which includes Toure was insane. When you read that neither of Fernandinho or Delph feature in that duo makes it worse. We knew what to expect from Liverpool today. We knew it would be high intensity and all go, go, go. We played a midfield duo including Toure and stuck MDM in defence.

Manuel, you have to go. I would rather you go now but I know I'll have to wait until the summer to see you go. You're not a top tier manager. Your decision making is questionable at best. The sooner you are gone, the sooner our club can push on to the heights where the owners and fans see it - where we should be after the money splurged this summer.

I would say he looks like his days are numbered but he doesn't look like he knows what day it is. Sooner the better.

Bye Manuel. Today, tomorrow, this summer.

Right,i have just wrecked the garden shed so here's my view,i could not agree more with the above post, the time has come he most go sooner rather than later before any more damage is done to the season. Thanks for the double mate in your 1st season but dont let the door hit your arse on the way out.Right time now to lie down in a dark room for a few days.

absolute shocking setup and I don't care about the Juve game being used as some sort of excuse. He has been in charge long enough to know how Liverpool would play, and has experience playing against Klopp's teams to understand how he like to press and play.

He did nothing to combat that and set the midfield up to get over-run and a CB pairing that was slow and in demi a player nowhere near the required level anymore.

Spot on and worrying also for me was kompany's comments before we played Aston villa something about being a hard game and a draw being a decent result, just something doesn't sit right with strange comments like that ...at the moment and taking in to account injuries we seem to be going backwards and seem to me to be putting all our eggs in the champions league basket...

Horrible defending. The whole backline did not show up. The center backs were slow and disjointed. Punished harshly for it, with three goals in the first half and from then onward it was always going to be difficult with Klopp's organisational intelligence and the diligence of the Liverpool players. Second half was a bit better with the likes of Delph, Fernandinho (who should have started) and Sterling pacing everywhere showing urgency but there was no cutting edge.

Bad day for the team and a lot of things have to be revisited starting with the fact that the star players seem to take turns getting injured, Pellegrini's curious decisions and our inabilities to seize opportunities to pull away from the pack.

Nonetheless it is still in November and a long way to go but very poor today.

Go and lie down in the shed, Oh wait....

At that lot, at Villa, and now at home to Liverpool we've been squeezing our lazy backsides out of the trap while the other dogs are half way round the track.

Awful team selection. Result slightly anticipated. Still in touch with top, but future prospects a huge concern.

we new the dippers would be up for this , so to rest players like otamendi and fernandinho with juventus in mind doesnt look great at the moment , but if we get something at Juve and finish top of the group , it could prove a master stroke ,and we have 20 odd games to recover in the premier league and get our big players fit. Let the mourners have their day in the sun , its a cup final for them , thye have found their level in the europa league ,we have got bigger fish to fry. No doubt there will be plenty of drama on here and knee jerk reactions , Mangala was terrible , MDM is now looking past his best , blah blah blah , look at the bigger picture and maybe Juventus is a more important game.

Not even mad, the first half was problems we've seen all season. Yaya being exposed yet again against a pacier and more determined midfield, our defence (notably without Kompany) pretending they've never player football together and despite 3 goals down we have absolute no urgency to do anything.
Honestly, Yaya needs to be dropped way more often and this should be the case now we have all our CM's fit. Another thing is that I wish Denayer took Demi's spot, i'd rather have an up and coming youth player look lost and shaky than someone who is past it and on a downward slope (as much as I love MDM).
