Liverpool Post Match Thread

The passing today was shockingly bad. Over hit and panicky but that was due to the brilliance of Liverpool. Really impressed in the way they play away from home, if they can repeat that at home they could go all the way and challenge Arsenal to the title.

I like Pellers but worry today we may have seen the start of the league title bid faltering before slipping away completely. The rags have injuries too but they keep grinding out boring wins despite being a poor footballing team. We can't be having what we saw today - particularly in defence. Fact is we bumbled to a 0-0 draw against a team humiliated by Everton today before being humiliated ourselves at home. Winners don't have that happen to them.

This is what gets me about fans. Apart from Aguero and De Bruyne I can't think of any City players better than their counterparts.

Are you talking the performance or quality? Their best 11 is not even on the same level as ours, I know which squad I'd rather have as a whole and it aint Liverpools by a long shot mate.

no the manager takes the blame when he again picks a 2 man partnership of Yaya and whoever - it doesn't matter who he sits in with because t doesn't work and we all know it, but still he chooses that setup. Demi I way pat it and was on the verge of leaving the club, he was totally out of his depth

The manager again thought he could field a stupid setup and coast the game when he has played against Klopp before and knows his style - the manager is to blame

Ye the manager told them all to play like clowns I get it. Hahahaha

We have some right wankers as fans, sacking a manager that has just qualified us for the Cl with 2 games to spare, trying to utilize a comprehensive squad with a major game Wednesday. Bad day at the office, get over it. Of course the players carry some blame. In hindsight we would have all played Otamendi but he played miles away midweek and if we'd lost him to injury with Komps out, where would we be then ? If he'd took Managala and Sagna off at half time it would ruin them for months mentally. A lot of players were under par, stop making one man carry the can.
great post.

Fuck. That was bad. I've got one of those cunts in work as well..

On a side note, I was in the upper tier of the South Stand today and it was a cracking atmosphere. Real down to earth bunch up there. However, the fucking queue at half time for beer was a disgrace - the club need ripping a new arsehole for that debacle.

smashed at home by a midtable team without them even having to play well. Blame is placed firmly on the manager once again. Not just his diabolical selections but his overall gameplan was non-existent. Klopp is predictable, you know full well they are going to hassle you constantly and put bodies in midfield, how do you combat that? Well if you're Pellegrini you ignore him, play your usual laboured football and let him do exactly the same thing he did with Dortmund, only this time, they finished their chances. Our manager is the weakest link in our team. Every average joe fan knew we needed 3 in midfield today, yet for Pellegrini, he had to concede 3 goals before he realised that. We should be running away with this league with our team and the demise of Chelsea, instead we're barely keeping up with United and Arsenal. Abysmal. said when Liverpool sacked Rodgers, despite the team doing well at the team we should of sacked Pellegrini and brought in Klopp whilst we could. We made a mistake there. Ancelotti is still available. It's not over reacting or being trigger happy, it's being proactive, get a new competent man in charge now whilst there's a chance and there's still something to play for.

I'm not going to write a long post as it'll get lost in here, but although some players were woeful Manuel carries the can, for me.

Awful tactics and then changes the game at HT when it didn't need to be done, lunacy.

The problem is, like it or not. One man does carry the can. Managers get sacked more frequently than players sold for poor performance. The buck stops with them and today, not for the first time he made some pretty major gaffes. I've been a vocal supporter of him but I sit here tonight seriously doubting his future.

About as bad as it can get today.

Didn't show up and to a man we didn't want to be on the pitch.

The less said about MP today the better.

Again we threw an opportunity to make a bit of a mark on this average premiership out the door but we have been poor for sometime now with very average efforts in our past 4 premiership games culminating in today's display.

Just cooled down a bit.... We were shit..if MP really meant that he would have selected the same team again, he needs to go after this season !

Really hoping this is a one off... Really hate wen we are bad we are embarrassing... Has happened under MP previously too many times

Yeah, it's the fans fault! FFS

You ain't allowed to talk like that on Bluemoon mate..........

I agree with u.

First time Ive left a match early for about 10 years. Couldn't stomach any more of the shambles before my eyes

One of the most inept manager performances I've ever seen

Our best two players for the past month have been Otamendi and Fernandinho. The silly old coont thinks it's a good idea to drop both and prioritise a dead rubber CL game and play a centre half 2 years past his sell by date

After 60 mins we're on top and if we score the next goal there's a great chance we get at least a draw. The silly old coont thinks it's a good idea to take off the best striker in Europe and put on a kid

Baffling ... And I just wish there was a manager available now to step in and replace the silly old coont

Which team won 4-1?

Our's isn't as good as many on here seem to think.
