Liverpool - post match thread.

Make no mistake; we're in for a real scrap to get a top 4 spot. Chelsea and Liverpool seemed to be nailed on for two of the spots, which leaves us, the vermin, Arsenal and Spurs competing for the final two spots. We need to reel off 5 or 6 wins on the bounce now to try to get a bit of momentum going.

Shite. We played a Liverpool back four with Milner and Klavan in it and had one shot on target.

Silva, KDB and Aguero go missing too easily.

Fullbacks are shit and have been for three years, no quality in CM, yet another neglected area.

But as long as we're overstocked in the attacking positions it doesn't matter.

What a pathetic display.

Pep hasn't got a clue in the Premier League. Great coach in Spain, great coach in Germany, but he does not 'get' English football and isn't adapting. Whether Pep likes it or not, English football is extremely physical and direct and he must adapt. Conte has adapted very easily and is dominated the league.

Just look at Liverpool's goal. That free kick should go to the back post where our big players aim to win the header. A chipped pass out to the touch line - what on earth is that? No attempt to stop the cross from Zabaleta. Terrible defending at the back post from Kolarov. Basic, basic things for defenders in English football.

I'm not sure we'll finish top four with this group of players, United are three points behind and they'll get more points than us between now and the end of the season.

Our record in big games over the last 2 years is downright embarrassing when you consider the money spent.

Liverpool played 'English' football tonight ?

That's what Klopp does ?

Bollocks.

Liverpool did not play that well and did not have to, quite honestly we are entitled to feel disappointed with how it has gone since Pep arrived, 10 points off the top spot and now back in a fight for a top 4 finish....after the start we had, with the supposed best manager in the world arriving and £150m sent in the summer? I could make myself look like the big sensible/reasoned City fan here and go down the "we're just building" route but honestly, I don't feel like that at all at the moment.
That performance today was really rather insipid, we created very little up front, Sterling to me looked like someone who had an agenda today, tried to show the Kop what they were missing and placed that above trying to help his team, the amount of times he took the flashy option today, trying to beat another defender instead of getting the ball in the box.
Disappointing from KDB, Sterling, Toure, Kun, Fernandinho.....good from Stones, Otamendi (mostly), Silva worked very hard in the 2nd half. Too many of our supposed big players are only turning in big performances every 3/4 games these days.
Crap end to a pretty poor year.

The all conquering dippers defended like fuck at home 10 men behind the ball, time wasting from 80 mins onwards. People already starting to fear us another summer window and we'll be good to go.

Not worried at all.

We've played all the top 6 Spurs, rags, Dippers away Arsenal & Chelsea at home Spurs looked the best side to me.

Toure looks like he's put his weight back on and slow as a donkey. Sterling was crap again and this tippy tappy shit were playing at the back is so awful to watch. Liverpool won this comfortably and they weren't that great. Looked like they were playing in second gear.
Your usual over the top fucking shite.
