Same problems as always. Too many players not doing any defending, leaving acres of space for oppositions midfield, putting too much pressure on the defence. 2 strikers, plus Yaya and Nasri is just suicidal against anyone who can pass the ball a bit. A lot of this team need to go and be replaced with equally talented players with better workrates.

Pellegrini also took to long to change things, then didn't do enough when he did. Fundamentally though, we lack the players to play these high intensity games. Yaya leaves the midfield wide open, but we don't have anyone else who can offer even a little bit of quality in CM. We lack a hard working alternative to Nasri with any quality as well (although I have no idea why Navas wasn't on the bench)

Predicted before the kick off and it gives me no joy to say that i was praying to have to eat my words.

Full squad to choose from and 3 full days rest against a team that went to extra time and penalties and only got back 4am Friday yet they still looked fitter,hungrier and better than us.

The men at the top now need to sit down and start planning for next season now.The midfield is too weak and lightweight and some of our stellar players are now past their sell by date and the manager tactically inept and stuck in his ways.Big changes needed!

If you've watched him this season he's been close to hazard level this season. Will be better than silva has more to his game.

Got what we deserved. Really disappointing performance and effort from players and manager. Short of a chelsea meltdown, or shock in barcelona our season is done.

Absolute shambles. Our defending as a team is bollocks, lost count of how many times it took Liverpool to bypass our midfield with one pass.

I thought our centre backs and Zab actually improved second half but the midfield's shape defensively was woeful, gaps everywhere and how did Nasri stay on till the 80 odd minute?!

We didn't work the keeper the whole second half, says it all.
