Liverpool Post Match

Hate to agree with SKY but they right....poor set up by Pelle AGAIN today....never learns and unable to change......every week our midfield looks lost and a Liverpool team that played 120mins Thursday nite was able to run rings around us in midfield....every week we say the same and every week Pelle things we can play like that against top teams....what a joke! Its clear we need new players in midfield and formation all wrong....we don't have a clue....Title is gone because we not learning from our mistakes and weakness could be seen all season....
 
I really don't know how anyone can be surprised. The signs were there and the manager confirmed it all with his selection. Take out the Stoke game and we haven't been on it for ages (given a lesson by Arsenal, Mourinho played it safe, Newcastle very poor, Barca lesson.......etc etc). Mistakes by the manager, key players injured or not performing, no bottle, underestimating opponents...........the list is endless. Champions go and win in games like today. Not good enough. I won't say I told you so because I got banned for that last year after this same game, but I just knew this would happen, sorry.
 
Out fought, thought and classed.

The players and manager need to take a long hard look at themselves after that.

Poor set up from Pellers and an even poorer effort from the team.

I don't know what to say after that. This is so similar to the Mancini season when he got sacked. In that season we showed signs that we were still the best in the league, but gave half hearted performances every other game. It's exactly the same this season. With the squad nearly being the same, is the players? We've had two different managers who have totally different approaches when it comes to the players, yet we're still under achieving. We're too reliant on our spine and it's not been very reliable this season, it's defintley shown. I don't the managers are wholey to blame, it's a mix of poor signings and team mentality. Something needs changing this summer, I wouldn't like to see pellegrini go but I can see the board wanting to change things. I've always back txiki, he will do great things for our academy but his transfers has been poor.
 
They wanted more than us, some of our players (most) seem to think we are the champions and we only have to turn up to win.
Not good enough by a long way and as for tactics you could see a number of the players asking where they were supposed to be playing.
 
What a fecking shambles.
Season over unless we draw one and win every other remaining game.
As to Pellers. What a dinosaur he is. 4-4-2 regardless of the opposition - he has to go. The sooner the better.

It's what happens when you let the players win against the manager. It may give you a short term win but in the long term you're fucked.

In the last 20 minutes the midfield was totally none existent..... total shit
 
Liverpool deserved their win. Outplayed us and exposed our defensive weaknesses. Can't blame clattenberg for this one.

Whilst the goals were great strikes, nobody closed either player down and frankly that is not good enough.

Kompany and zabaleta have been poor all season and showed it again today.

Pellegrini has taken us as far as he is ever going to. He did well last year but to be honest this year has been mediocre from the first game onwards. We have lost six times at home this season, been knocked out of cups by Newcastle reserves and a championship side, been given another lesson in the CL knockout stage and been average in our play most of the season.

We don't deserve to win the league and we won't. We are now top of a group fighting for top 4 places.

We need to probably win 7/11 to get this. With the way we have been playing on the whole since Boxing Day, nothing is certain.
