"Liverpool show a packed midfield is how to beat City"

Closing us down fast, giving us no time on the ball and breaking fast is how to play against us. I'm sure most teams know that but actually doing it against us is the problem and only Napoli have managed it.

Could have sworn they only drew against us at home.

Also:

''.....No one Liverpool player was designated to man-mark the Spaniard, but whether it was Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson or Lucas Leiva, they each beavered away to stop his supply and close his space....''

No - what they actually did, was take turns to kick Silva, whilst the Ref gave him no protection whatsoever.

I think that's a reasonable assessment of what I saw. It did fail to mention though that thte Dippers 5 men in Midfield all had decent games whilst Yaya and Milner were pretty low key for us. Aguero also a bit offish today.

The crowded midfield tactic alone doesn't work is the bottom line.

Don't forget the 'dive and try and get our players sent off' masterplan...

What a compliment this is, they now regard getting a point against city as a win.

Mind you they needed a bent ref, a sending off and a very lucky own goal to do it.

Happy days.

Scousers on the way back to the station were happy they had stolen a point
How times have changed

They have the same aspirations as Norwich
