Liverpool terror attack

They already see their hospitals and homes taken out, repeatedly, and that is the point. We can no longer turn a blind eye to a foreign policy that sees us make an unholy mess of Afghanistan and Iraq, continuing to sell arms to Saudi that are then used in Yemen, and unequivocally supporting the US in wherever it seeks to show its power in the world. We cannot continue to support an Israeli government whose behaviour is condemned by the UN, again and again. Our nation does cause direct harm and some people will choose to retaliate in a way that they can.
This is not one-sided. Equally, we cannot accept terror attacks and the maiming of innocent people who have (directly) committed no crime against the perpetrator. There is one guarantee though and it is that while we continue to get involved in the myriad of political and religious wars in the Middle East, there will be implications on our shores. What's more, they will be implications that we cannot predict, nor resolve. Ultimately, the choice is ours on how we wish our governments to continue to act.

there is that, then of course others who take a stranger stance on their religious beliefs and go through with what they do.

All a big mess

Great post.

Selling weapons to the Saudis will be something we’ll look back on in future as a total disgrace. What’s happening in Yemen is criminal.

Telling it like it is. And that is in no way to condone terrorist attacks on anyone in this or any other country. But the plain fact is that when the US-trained and backed Afghan forces killed an estimated 40 guests at a wedding party, by mistake, does it surprise anyone that the relatives and family of those 40 people saw it as a repulsive terrorist attack? It does not change anything for them that it was carried out by a state, or two states working in cooperation. The bullets and missiles still penetrate flesh and bone in the same terrible way.

It appears that he was working alone so it is impossible to say.
They?

Ok. So let’s say it’s a bit early to know what this person wanted to do this - which of our foreign policies you listed (or possibly missed off) they disapproved of. There is a probably a note somewhere to say why they wanted to rain death down on folk

What was the reason for the Arena bombing then? You know why did he kill 22 innocent folk?

The IRA had an agenda, a stated claim. Whatever anyone thought of their actions we knew why they were doing them.
