Liverpool Thread 2011/12

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

Suarez is the key.
He is a Liverpool jinx.

The inordinate amount of squandered opportunities, worst shot-to-goal ratios in the league, to score.

The question to ask is why?

Is it because he is always looking for ways to cheat/dive (push the envelope in getting away with it)?

If only he was focussed on playing honest football (just because Uruguay was rewarded by his cheating against Ghana) Liverpool would have translated most of the draws into winners. Remember they won when he was suspended.

The sooner they got rid of him the better.

Without Suarez they have a better winning record (recall the matches when he was banned)

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

Someone posted his player ratings over on RAWK;

Reina: 5. Not at fault for the goal but his delivery, usually excellent, was below par.
Kelly: 5. Had a torrid time with McLean
Skrtel: 5. Was at fault for the goal, shouldn't have allowed that space
Coates: 6. Wasn't helped being surroundered by Muppets.
Enrique: 3. Dreadful from him. Clueless, effortless and complacent.
Adam: 3. He at least tried. He's either brilliant or gash. Today and too often it's the latter.
Henderson: 5. Had he been a right midfielder it'd been lower but he's played out of position.
Spearing: 5. Isn't Lucas. Usually more solid
Suarez: 5. Invisible compared to normal. Not his fault though.
Kuyt: 4. If the team's not playing well he's very useless.
Bellamy: 5. Couldn't do what he usually does.

Top mark was Coates with 6 out of 10. Not pretty.

Remember early last season when the press were comparing Mancini's record with that of Mark Hughes to the point of tedium and usually throwing in all the money that Roberto had spent into the mix as well?

And yet we hear little or nothing from the same people comparing Daglish with Hodgson in spite of 'The King' spending similar amounts in the last fifteen months.

We hear little of Daglish's "negative tactics" in spite of Liverpool's appalling goals scored record.

And we hear little of "foreign owners who don't seem to understand what it takes to run a football club in this country".

I so want West Brom to finish above them. It would serve to underline just how deluded Liverpool fans really are.

That said, I'm pretty sure it could be their year next year.
