Saturday's result proved how reliant they are on Sterling.

Without Sterling and Sturridge, they look like a midtable team to me. Putting Agbonlahor on Gerrard totally killed Liverpool, it's quite clear all their attacks start from him.

Definitely gone backwards since last season I think, they should have signed a top striker to replace Suarez and really pushed on.
They are a different team with Sturridge and Sterling. Gives them pace that few can cope with

Don't forget Supersub and St Etienne, because no-one's ever scored with six minutes to go in Europe, before or since.

Someone should tell those clowns on RAWK who are forever having a pop at our attendances that the mighty Liverpool FC, despite a 5 year sabbatical from Champions League football, despite being one of the biggest supported clubs nationally and globally, and despite only having around 44,000 seats to fill (probably less due to UEFA restrictions for CL matches), still have tickets available on general sale for tomorrow night's game:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/tickets-availability" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/tickets-availability</a>
"Unleash on general sale."

Have you noticed what the prices are? Btween 46 and 59 quid!

But it's a magical European night at Anfield. The first one for 5 years. They sold this out weeks ago surely?

But apparently not. Still on general sale this morning. Anyone got an account on RAWK that would like to point this out to them?

But everyone on the radio has been saying it's a huge game against Ludosomeoneorother?

I have been researching fan opinions on FFP on many different forums and tonight was "RAWK Night."

Did I expect to find a discussion of the actual issues and how it might affect their club? No, but I sort of hoped that I would. At least to some extent.

Let's see.... bashing City takes up pretty much everything posted since May.

UEFA just "tickled (City's) balls" with the punishment.

Sheikh Mansour is "tyrant scum." And, per one delightful product of scouse-dom, most of "THEM" have multiple wives so maybe something like the Monaco owner divorce will happen multiple times to us.

Just truly vile, hateful nonsense. Racism (overt and less so) never far from the surface. Utter denial/no appreciation whatsoever that the FFP rules could prove a horrible difficulty for them should the rules stay around.

But big ups to "Manchester Blue" who was posting excellently there and trying to calmly debate the scousers in a very knowledgeable, professional and respectful manner. The response to him was pretty much "how is this &^%$ still allowed to post here."

(Sigh). Should I have expected more? Rhetorical question, of course, but fans on a dozen other forums seem more able to grasp the issues and dynamics in play. Even the 'Caf will show some flashes of sense and reason. But these people seem to combine utter delusion with a more or less pervasive hatefulness and very little understanding of what is actually going on.

Sorry for the rant. I just feel dirty right now after dipping (pun intended) into those fetid waters and needed to vent.
Football clubs are private property. To be successful they have to be rich and powerful. Almost by definition owners are therefore objectionable, but if we were to support our clubs based on the owner, then football would never have taken off. MCFC like most clubs was started up by the Church to ensure workers attentions were focussed on sport and not politics

Ah but the 59 quid tickets come with a mini wreath and a candle.

It would be interesting to know how a candle stall would do outside Anfield
I genuinely believe they would sell like hot cakes especially with ynwa on them
