Liverpool just signed another midfielder for 10m (Emre Can) 40m spent and still not addressed their defensive or squad depth issues.

Won't Liverpool face some financial difficulties in complying with FFP if they don't start to offload some players? At some stage, I assume, FSG will want to recoup the money they have invested in the form of loans.
Presumably the Suarez sale will cover any other investment. Just like Bale did with Spurs, and they ended up with a stronger squad out of it. Oh, hang on...

They are going to end up selling Suarez for around 80m, that should cover most if not all of their summer business.

plus they make a killing with their shares in the candle industry.

i fear an outbreak of burnt shirts on breck road by the weekend. the end of the PL season where they went from their self induced status of smug champions elect to a laughing stock will have hurt them bad. once the sewer rat goes as he inevitably will, i can see it being a very hard task for the players left ,being able to drag their spirit up. next season will test just how capable rodgers is of the job in hand, a return of king kenny by xmas at least ! unless he can persuade the likes of Sanchez/Cavani/Lavezzi or players of a similar standard it will be a fairly average side. take away suarez from last season's squad and no one really stands out as a class player.

A fair few of them are lamenting his words of 'Loving Liverpool, and wanting to settle here' etc.
It's something we need to be mindful of too with some of our players. They might be loving the success at City, but very few will love the club in the way we do. It's not their home, it's not the club they've spent a lifetime with.

It's understandable why we like to believe they love our clubs, but it's best to never fall for it. A lot of Liverpool fans have.

Another Lewis Holtby ?

I bet Rodgers won't make it to Christmas 2015. This year tgeyll be disappointed and when the following season doesn't start any better he'll be replaced.

Sticking the knife in! Lambert up front once Sturridge is injured. Loving it!

He's already been canonised by the fundamentalist cultists, so it will take more than a bad season to fuck him off.
If Liverpool don't make the top 4 again, Suarez will get the majority of the blame. Other targets will include the media(for driving Suarez away) the rags, us, referees, oil clubs in general and anyone and everyone without an affiliation to their cult.
Liverpool has the most deluded and rabid fan base of any Prem club.

Have you seen him play? If you watched him play you wouldn't think he was average.
He a world beater mate. Saw him quite a few times last season and thought Southamptom had signed Iniesta on the quiet.

Some of the things he did against the likes of Fulham and Norwich was majestic. Not to mention him pulling Cardiff apart.

He's only young too. Well mid twenties but that now makes you a youngster so his potential is through the roof.

Exactly, mate. At the age of 24 he was still playing in the Championship. The left side of England's team which drew against Costa Rica just went for £55m. When you think about it it's pretty hilarious.
Well a championship player at 24 gave our team a tough time then. Also not really sure what this world cup has to do with anything. Most of our players have looked ordinary in it.

There's a very simple explanation for that mate.
