How was he fucking dreadful at Spurs? He got their highest ever points total, then had the player he built his team around sold against his wishes and then replaced with a lot of average players he didn't want. I think he'd do well at Liverpool, if they let him pick who they signed. The media were all over him, but he didn't do badly there at all. He has the highest winning percentage of any Spurs manager in history. The big names in the Chelsea dressing room had it in for him from the moment he started to shake things up and the same thing happened at Spurs, this time from the media as their "go to woman" Redknapp had been dumped. Not to mention Levy wasting his Gareth Bale money.
He seems a nice bloke and a good manager to me so I don't want him anywhere near them lot.
I agree with you about his time at Chelsea. Roman made promises and then backed out of them and let the players take the piss.
Not sure he has much of an excuse for his time at Spurs, he was fucking dreadful and I don't believe he had no say on transfers.
I wouldn't worry about him going any of our rivals and I certainly wouldn't want him rocking up here.
There is no one in world football better at getting the best out of direct wingers imo, so I imagine he would be fantastic for someone like Sterling (he even managed to make Andros Townsend look decent, so fuck knows how good Sterling would do with him). With the right players, AVB is a fantastic manager. If he doesn't have the right players, he struggles. He's not a verstaile manager, he only plays one way, so it's crucial you let him pick his own players to fit that system, otherwise you're asking to fail.

Too many posters on here are getting wound up that the media are not covering the fact that the Dippers appear to have failed FFP. Why ? For any serious punishment to have effect they would need to be in Europe next year ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha aha hyhahhahahahahahahahah boom
