Re: The Red Lion Pub Team (Liverpool) Thread 2014/15

I used to like Bottlepool until the tranny shagger bleated on about doing it the right way, doing it for the 96 and the fucking Bottlepool family now I'm not afraid to say I hate everything about from GBH avoiding jail, smashing slabs into Bulgarian waiters heads, Sterling shit haircut, Sturridge's shit dancing, the shit manager. This weekend I've arranged to have a drink with a few rag mates and will help them cheer on Ushited.

As opposed to being absolutely nowhere when the money came rolling in.

But we were still a division above where you know who were when the Moores family decided to bankroll Liverpool at the beginning of the 1960's.......

As for that QC character on the City thread, I don't think I've seen someone say so much without actually making a single legitimate point. Not only are there the usual hackneyed comments about us inflating the market (by the way, how much did Liverpool inflate the market by in relative terms when they were a struggling 2nd division club being bankrolled by the aforementioned Moores family?), but then bangs on about FFP and City circumventing it, only to laughably admit that he knows hardly anything about the regs - I suggest he starts learning and fast given that his own club are seemingly in breach of FFP. Organic growth my arse - you really couldn't make it up but that's the mentality of the idiotic minority on RAWK I guess.

I don't get City hate from fellow LFC fans.

You've saved us from having to suffer through the rags running the football in England, while knocking down Arsenal (would-be direct competitors) down a couple of rungs.

You're nowhere near Chelsea as far as being c**ts, and your players are remarkably likable (a rarely reported fact by the media).

The long-standing rivalry between the cities of Manchester and Liverpool means City and Liverpool fans haven't exactly been the best of friends down the years but our shared hatred of all things United coupled with the fact that we haven't been in direct competition with each other at the top end of the league since the 1970's until very recently has equated to a generally good-natured rivalry. Now that the dust has settled on last season's title race I don't think things are much different amongst most fans of both clubs and the "hate" is mainly restricted to a minority of fans that post on a single LFC forum, and vice versa of course. Save for the usual Manc/Scouse banter and jokes about how Liverpool fans were celebrating the title win last season I and many other City fans certainly don't have a significant issue with the average Liverpool fan and I'm sure most Liverpool fans feel the same way about the average City fan. I drank amongst LFC fans and engaged in conversation with a fair few of them in various pubs around Liverpool before and after last season's 3-2 defeat at Anfield and there were were no problems.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating: Liverpool attract the very best and also the very worst type of football supporter imo.

LOL. The deluded twats didn't even manage to get six points.

More importantly, what the heck is a "sleepy giant"? Think the correct term is "sleeping giant".

But if they are indeed "sleepy" that might explain part of their problems this year.
should have read 'dopey' giants.

Harry Enfield said he got the idea for the Scousers walking to the cup final Liverpool vs Everton in 86, a Scouser came up to him and said how much he loved him, how funny he was, how he enjoyed everything he had ever done and followed this up by asking him if he had a ticket for the game. Enfield replied that he was sorry but only had one ticket, so the Scouser said "I hope you get cancer and die"

It's not that I dislike Liverpool fans, I have met some great ones over the years but they kind of set themselves up for a fall with all the sanctimonious drivel they come out with
