On the question of "Istree" what does anyone know about the Mickeys before they got Shankley ( who was far to similar to Don Revie and Harry Redknapp for my liking) and the Moores family ?

I know that they had a player called Billy Liddell who good judges reckon is one of the best that has ever come from Scotland and recently I found out through an article in Toma's "Daisy Cutter" that in the 1910's or 1920's they had this keeper; I can't for the life of me remember his name but this bloke is regarded as the father of modern goalkeeping. Apparently he was the first to narrow angles, throw the ball out short, use his voice to control the defenders and shit like that. Like most of the stuff in the Cutter (apart from mine) it really was an excellent piece.

You speak to a Mickey and they associate "Istree" with Trophy's. Football is so much richer and about far,far more than winning something. It's about what you go through and what you have to put up with.

Their isn't one Mickey or Norwegian who has had anywhere near enough suffering for my liking.

Up the Dog and Duck for tomorrow.

i thought long and hard about this over the last couple of week, i think my dislike of the scousers eclipses that of even the scum.
They are despicable cunts, but they'll never match my hatred of the rag scum.

Re: The Red Lion Pub Team (Liverpool) Thread 2014/15

I came to the conclusion after last season they are at least as bad as the rags.
Even them sods follow nature though, they hate us because we basically nicked their missus and wiped our arse on their best suit. I can at least understand that.

Dippers though, i dunno they are just special.

Their unique place in istree is assured - no other club ever again will actually win the premier league and lose it within a month like Liverpool did last season. Small wonder everyone loves them.

I actually thought after the run in last season that they are worse

They were worse in my opinion, I have never seen such sanctimonious clap trap spouted in the name of a football team, British football owes City a debt of honour for winning the title, because if they had won it we would still be hearing about it now, there would have been letters to the pope asking for the Blessed Stevie G to be beatified

Fuck sake rawk you nazi fuckers, not even a sterling contract thread???

Isn't that discussion in the 'Raheem Shaquille Daglish Heighway Molby Sterling' thread?
Maybe not. That's been deleted too...

Does Brenda still think he's the best man for the job? How deluded can you be? Perhaps the scouse mentality has rubbed off on him.

I thought this on more than one occasion last season, and today is one of those games where yer want both to lose, but perspective must take centre stage - a modest away win, perhaps, with Sterling red carded for summat trivial.
