Yes, that does seem logical. Who was responsible for them being 10th?
By my logic, Rodgers and I was content to point that out at the time.

Unlike others, I don't suffer from such suffocating insecurity that I'm too afraid to acknowledge when I've misjudged something or made an incorrect prediction.

His overbearing and nauseating personality aside, I've seen nothing from Rodgers to suggest he is the managerial genius he seems to think he is. He's proven on numerous occasions to be tactically naive, but then again so has Pellegrini.
I think the current state of the rest of the Prem has more to do with Liverpool's position than any managerial brilliance.
Their current form has them where they are supposed to be, let's not forget what they have spent. Liverpool are performing at the level they are supposed to.
Rodgers deserves no praise for that.
Liverpool are top of the form league for the last six matches. Are you suggesting that is the level they are 'supposed to' be at?

You seem, therefore, to be suggesting that they have the best squad in English football.

You don't think they're discernibly better placed than at Christmas when they were 10th?

I'n happy to acknowledge he has done a good job for them this season if and when they finish in the top 4.

If they fail to do that he hasnt done a good job IMO, regardless of how his wins and losses are spread out.

It has nothing to do with insecurity, more to do with not wanting to make definitive judgements of a manager on a few months of good or bad football.

I am happy to confirm though that whether they finish top 4 or not he does remain an insufferable twat.

Given the present situation and fight for Champions League who would benefit most by qualifying and conversely who would suffer most by not qualifying.

Brenda is certainly finishing strongly with an excellent record from the turn of the year, but if they do not qualify for CL it will impact on signings. Will this affect the club more than the genius LVG at the swamp who are continuing to scrape points and stay in 4th place. No CL for a second season would make it hard to attract certain players.

Opinions.

He's a top manager who's learning every season. How can you not give a manager credit when his team is performing so well and winning every game? Total nonsense.

I hate Utd more than Liverpool so I'm supporting the Scousers from here on in. Although Southampton squeaking in would be ideal!

I meant the season as a whole. Everyone goes through good and bad spells. Their league position is about right.

Given the monies spent, they should be doing well.

Isn't that right Brendon?
