I was too angry to come in here before--if we were going to lose (we were never going to win all games) it should've been vs. Swansea or at Arsenal, but WHY THESE? fuck fuck fuck fuck.
Anyway two things:
1. Everybody needs to calm down and leave Sterling alone. Number one , he has two years left on the contract. Let it get sorted in the summer. Let the accountants worry about value. Those out for blood should remember he's still a kid and the team has been leaning on him--more is being asked of him than probably should have been at this stage of his career.
2. As you will see in my post a few pages back, I was very uncomfortable with the sudden talk of 2nd. We do that shit all the time (i even linked to historical examples). For a change, JUST STFU and take it a game at a time. We start navel-gazing way too early and too often.
3. On the tactics, Rodgers is doing it again with favoritism. Lallana should not be starting. Just do what needs to be done and drop him. Let him come off the bench.
4. We still had a good run. We were always going to lose. We're not as good as some were starting to get carried away with, but we're not suddenly shit either. Sometimes you lose games, it's just that it had to be to the insipid detestable rags at our place that grates. If the title is still doable for you lot, then 4th is still doable for us even if unlikely, but lose to Arsenal and it's over.
Fuck.
