Is there any chance the dippers will fail FFP ?
They have failed, which is why they're being investigated. The way it works for teams that weren't in Europe last season is that they have had to submit the same accounts that we did (FY2012 & 2013) but after the competitions started. Theirs will have not met FFP, hence why they're being investigate further. They will have to submit their latest accounts (for FY 2014) and if those three together still fail then they'll be sanctioned.

However they would almost certainly pass, if they can use the Annex XI rule that allows them to write off wages paid to players signed prior to June 2010. But it's not clear whether they will be able to do that as they have to show a trend of improving results and their FY2013 result was worse than their FY2012 one and that disqualifies them from using those wages.

However their FY2014 results will be better than both 2012 & 2013 so if UEFA stick strictly to their guidelines, they'll probably fail. But if UEFA decide that an improved result in 2014 is sufficient to allow them to use the Annex XI provision, then they might well get through.
Ah, I get it now...we improve our debts year on year and fail, but they do it for 1 year and pass!!

A man of few words, I see?
He clearly believes in quality rather than quantity.

Just checked RAWK but can't find the thread that talks about their further investigation by UEFA and how they should be thrown out of Europe and have points deducted in the PL.
I've looked for it too, but can't find anything. They're obviously preparing for a great debate on the issue later on tonight.
Strange isn't it. You'd think the moral guardians of the beautiful game would be right on a breach of the rules by a team spending more than it earned straight away wouldn't you?

I was once dangled over the docks at Liverpool as a very young quantity surveyor for having a final account dispute with a Scouse scaffolder. Only been back a few times. I really hope global warming causes sea levels to rise quickly and the vermin race is drowned. I love going on rawk and feeling there jealousy. Apparently we are middlesboro with money - 83k crowds in 1934 suggests we are not. And that new stand!!! Oh my god - it looks like a retro version of the holt end. They won't get top 4 and are fucked basically.

That new stand is pathetic. Its a very poor design and if I was a liverpool fan I'd be fuming at that monstrosity going up. The plans for the anfield road stand isn't much better. That Stanley park design would of been the best stadium in Europe by a mile, unlucky dippers.

thanks for that
but surely that is what did for City wasn't it not being allowed to use the wages write off? and even a bunch of cheating twats like UEFA can't ignore that especially with the impending court case

Yeah, the 38,000 can complain about their own empty seats instead of ours when they return to mid-table obscurity. Because of course they have forgotten not selling out their stadium on a regular basis during cup and midweek games when they were languishing in 7th. It looks like a scouse Old Trafford.

The poor saps have been so busy looking back at their glorious 'istree , they haven't noticed other clubs looking forward to their glorious futures.
