And next year may be their year?

Their midfield is their weak spot. Of all top 6 teams they have the weakest midfield. Their defense is fine, just never got shielded well by the midfield as is done in the City team. So if they strengthen that midfield they will become a real force. They need a real playmaker.
I doubt City will repeat to have an almost perfect season. It will be much tighter. But I also think Chelsea will have a word or two. Abramovich will open up his purse again I think.

Difference is that we won't celebrate until we actually win a trophy unlike the fucking Grievers who celebrated winning the premier league in 2014... Turned out nice in the end hahaha

You don't read a lot of bluemoon it seems.

Because they're the only team this season to have beaten City in a live rubber. Some wariness is sensible.

They are also the only team left that we have beaten 5-0 this season ;-)

To be honest I would be wary of any side that we face in the next round (assuming we go through), as they will all be very good teams and it is possible that any of them could knock us out. I just think there are better teams than Liverpool still in the competition to be more concerned about.

Maybe you are confusing Bluemoon for Rawk....very few fans are thinking we will will all four as we have won nothing yet.
Will celebrate if we win trophies as and when it happens.
Judging by your post counts I think I probably read Bluemoon more than you...have a nice day.

A few weeks back Rags fans, and some pundits, were claiming that our success so far was because the quality of teams in the Premier League was low and it was not competitive. For me City, Liverpool, and Spurs (in that order) are the best and most progressive teams produced in England for decades. Pep, Klopp and Poch are way ahead of the rest of the dinosaur managers and their backward teams. We have a fantastic squad and with a few additions Liverpool and Spurs can be up there with us. Next season will be amazing. I expect an English team to win the Champions League in the next couple of years. Hopefully it will be us.

Their game is based on everyone legging it about like fuck & hope the forwards score a few. The is no 'solid defence' coming, it is what it is.

It works fine, unless either the oppo scores more &/or they miss, or of the' legging it about' isn't at 100%, then it falls apart spectacularly, as against West Brom, which was only 3 weeks ago. If they can maintain 100% legging it about, for 60 games, they will have a great season next season.

If they drop below that, like they do when they are all fucked for 3 weeks after chasing us around, they will get picked off again & be lucky to finish top 4.

And when you talk about City having a 'perfect' season; Salah is having a 'perfect' season. No guarantee at all, that will happen next season.

Without that, they are absolutely nowhere near it.

They were one man down and despite being already 1-0 up when Mane got sent off it was a much tighter game with chances on each side until then.

A game where Liverppol's central defenders were constantly leaving an Aguero/Jesus sized hole inbetween them & City continually firing passes into that gap, which surprisingly resulted in Aguero running through said hole & tapping it in.

The defense of ManCity is not better either, it just does not get tested a lot of the time. City has like 70%+ possesion and still concedes goals almost every game. It just shows your midfield is saving your defense from getting exposed more.

Salah had a similar chance. He just missed. Its not your defense was rock solid until the red card. And it was far from it at Anfield. 4 goals conceded speak for themselves.

As does an 18 point gap in the league.

Which is down to the superior midfield of Manchester City. Thank you for proving my point.

I think you're oversimplifying it greatly if you think such a significant gap is only down to our superior midfield, but never mind.

No, because we dominate most games & have 60-70% possession, is why our defence is exposed less, which is the plan, as well as the fact that our defence IS better than Liverpool's at pretty much everything, including defending set pieces etc.

Utd actually get opened up more than we do in spite of being fairly negative but have got away with it more down to luck & DeGea.

Liverpool are a team which City will sometimes struggle against. because they know we won't change or do anything in particular to stop them. They can plan everything for the one game & if it works, likely beat us. Then they need a month off, to recover.

We will just play them, he same way we play Newcastle or Leicester, & if it doesn't work on the day, it will work most other days.

The biggest problem we had in the last game v Liverppol was the fact we were fucking shite. The rags will also put 4 past us, if we give them the ball near our penalty area.

He did have a chance & missed, as did we when John Stones missed an open net from two yards to make it 2-0 (but that doesn't fit in with the historymakers' agenda)

But unlike Liverpool, we don't tend to think we could have won every game we got absolutely fucking battered in.

Better keeper. Yes. But better defenders? Lol. Better manager? With more money its always easier to be better. Just remember last season. How much more did your superior manager win despite having the better squad? Your superior manager has a negative track record against Klopp despite always having the better team and more money. How is that?

Ah here we fucking go 'more money'.

All the fucking same.

Pray tell, where did those wankers finish when Leicester won the league & City, Utd were having shit seasons ?

How many trophies has Klipperty won compared to Pep?
Let's see how many trophies Klipperty wins this season too... somehow I think Pep might increase the gap.
Check how many goals conceeded to see who has best defence...speaks volumes.
18 points difference and 30 goal difference means our defence much better than yours ...or maybe 10 goals less conceeded might be more to the point.
