I read a click-bait thing 442 on-line, earlier in the week. It listed the top 20 performances, based on points gained, by teams in the PL era.15 points - despite the fawning over the football they play in the media they are 15 points behind us - same with Spuds but its 17 for them. And we have tomorrow's game in hand. They still have loads of improvements to make if they are to challenge - or we fall off a performance cliff - can't see Pep allowing that
Whilst it should be pointed out that Liverpool's record in 2014 was better than that of many sides that actually did win it in other years, it is also worth emphasising that - for all the hype at the time and misty-eyed nostalgia now - it was 20th on the list. That is to say, that if City continue on course, this year, that wonderful, marvelous, super-unlucky team that dared to dream, won't even be in the top 20 all-time Premier League performances, come this May.
