I had the misfortune of being with one of the bastards the day before the draw. When I asked who he was hoping to get he didn't even hesitate before saying "City". He wasn't remotely interested in Roma or Sevilla, he just desperately wanted to play the team that was 21 points ahead of them in the league at the time and had scored 8 goals against them over the previous two meetings.

As you said, some of them are clearly puddled.
 
I was in Liverpool last week and met a couple of their fans in a pub. We actually had a great talk about the qualities of both teams and how it was a shame that we had been drawn together at this stage.
 
Have they started a campaign against UEFA yet. Their new CL rules means they can’t display winning the cup 5 times on their kits. No doubt they’ll remind us of this when we play them...

Yeah but sheikh mansoor HRH always buys 20 000 tickets for all our games then gives them out free to bolster our figures. Our grounds too big for us. A dipper friend informs me regular

In a sense they are mentally ill. Its not a fanbase as such but a weird cult.

It certainly has all the irrationality of a religious belief.
They simply have an unshakable belief no matter what evidence is in front of them. It’s like those survivors of natural disasters who thank their various gods for saving them and not asking why that same deity caused the event in the first place, and didn’t save others.
It’s all part of some mystical master-plan.

There just has to be a dedicated thread on RAWK complaining about this. I'd check myself but hate navigating that cluttered mess of a forum on my mobile. Suppose I could just look for the unlocked threads to narrow it down....?

These stats are more than an eye-opener. They show that Liverpool have only sold out a tiny number of European matches in their entire history. Never mind fake news...they have a fake history!
 
Over on RAWK, they are very upset about people on this forum not giving proper respect to Liverpool football club's history.

Liverpool are, after all, the "2nd most successful club in the most watched league in the world and most successful in Europe from here. It’s glory by association"
 
fortunately since the premier league became the most watched league in the world they haven't won it hopefully they never will
 
I wouldn't think many 11 year old kids grow up around the world these days choosing Liverpool like they may have years ago.

Why would they when they never win anything?

It won't be long before they are just a big team in Liverpool, and nowhere else.

They'll have their scandanavian pensioners travelling over for their home games as always, but there is nothing to attract a new generation to replace them.

Their history prevents them from accepting they are just another club now.
