The salty comments here. Why should they not celebrate a win? Isn't that what City did at Uniteds ground? Are you doing a Mourinho here?

Is there a more loathsome individual plying their trade in the PL these days than that shitehawk Firmino. I thought, with the innumerable candidates among the Swamp Donkeys - Jesse Weasel scores a lot of points in this competition - and the dreadful persona on a football field of Fabregarse, I would have some difficulty awarding the 2018 FCofY award. But no! There will have to be some wholly shocking and unpleasant episodes if anyone is to wrestle the title away from the aforementioned.

The celebrations from all involved with Liverpool today was incredible. It was like they had knocked us out of a Champions League semi final or something. All that for 3 pts against little old City.
Funny thing is thats all that Liverpool can get giddy over, they wont win the league and there best parts of the year are beating us at home lol. They can have the 3pts and we can have the prem title. I know what I would rather have.

and their performance just serves to put their best talent in the shop window - not good for a selling club...................

They deserved to win. Scousers have no self awareness and a lot of it in this thread is mocking that.

Their performance sums up why they will never win a thing unless Klopp makes his front 3 work harder tracking back.

They press fine but should be chasing back when the ball gets past them. Scored 4 thanks to how attacking they are then conceded 3 because of how much space they leave. We were woeful too and still got back in the game.

They can celebrate it but it shows how small time they now are. We are nothing to Liverpool. The rags are their rivals. They closed the gap to 15 pts and are the first to beat us. They celebrated like the had won the league. We would have done the same a decade ago because we were not competing for trophies. They still nearly bottled it. Hilariousm

So here we go again, the LFC eternal wheel of optimism spinning around relentlessly. Round and round it goes. Each rotation tracing the exact same path as it did previously. It starts with a period of unremarkable football (Top 4 this year? - maybe, maybe not) and is followed by one superb result (usually v Man City but can also be v Arsenal), the wheel turns and the lovable scouse fans get all giddy (see 13.4.2014, also 14.1.2018 - read today's mails on Football365.com - "Ox is the new Gerrard" ...and so on). And the wheel of optimism continues to spin, and by the time they've convinced themselves this really is their year, they have the inconvenience of having to play another football game, this time against a mediocre team (see 5.5.2014 C Palace). And guess what? They don't win. And suddenly it's not their year.
But it's OK because the wheel still turns and maybe when it's come full circle....... well, you know the rest.
