Always the victims.
The issue is probably that people in positions of authority in the media are likely to be the right age to be glory hunting Liverpool fans from the 70s and 80s. I'm guessing it won't be like this in 20 years time, it'll then be united who get that treatment. 20 years after that it might be us. Shame I'll be dead.
No the issue is Hillsborough and everyone being frightened to death of criticising the club in any way shape or form for fear of being accused of being insensitive as they then use Hillsborough as some sort of defence to silence anything negative.
Its actually a disgusting thing to do by the club and spits on the memories of the 96 imo.
That's a good point and one which a lot of us has thought of. The way they use that awful tradegy as some sort of shield to act in any way they want and then be beyond reproach is disgraceful. No the issue is Hillsborough and everyone being frightened to death of criticising the club in any way shape or form for fear of being accused of being insensitive as they then use Hillsborough as some sort of defence to silence anything negative.

I can see hyped up foreign ultras thinking that they have the right to ramp up the hostility and wouldn't surprise me to see petrol bombs getting thrown at a team bus.The media for some reason are affraid of what happened to the Sun newspaper and being tarnished in the same bracket. The Sun were wrong in what they did and rightly found out.
However that doesnt mean that the press should not be allowed to write what is actually thought elesewhere apart from inside the borders of liverpool. They honestly need to start taking account of their own actions, along with the club, and the merseyside police in how what they do can have consequences of other events happening.
Everyone knows that Rome and Italy has ultras, the police allowed them to walk freely into anfield without any police presence to control any issues that might arise - because the police were happy joining in the ‘atmosphere’ with the fans.
The lfc fans love making social media posts calling on the ‘atmosphere’ to be adhered to that results in coaches being attacked - Man City & Dortmund. Playing scouse ultras where the other watching hooligans in europe on social media platforms would have been rubbing their hands.
This now has implications towards the russian hooligans being excited and ready thinking that England will be ready for a fight at the World Cup regardless if any england fan is innocent or not - liverpool fc and its fans and the police have only increased this possibility in the summer
I dont care if they show their atmosphere inside the stadium - that is their right as a supporter of liverpool. But when you take this out onto the streets and it becomes hostile then it isnt just an ‘atmosphere’
Liverpool fc are now pleading with uefa and the italian authorities for the safety of their fans, but it wouldnt surprise me if they are also asking for the team coach to be protected but it just isnt being reported - total double standards from the club down to their fans when they allow anything to happen on their turf but shit bricks at the prospect of retaliation from opposition fans
Not gonna say i want to turn the tv on after their game to hear any fan has been killed or seriously injured - but liverpool need to start taking a hard look at themselves and how they are percieved by others by their own actions, because tegardless of what they think..they have brought this on themselves but as mentioned above have brought this whole saga to the attention of russians for the world cup.
Russian hooligans will be watching very closely next week for the signs of any trouble, and if it happens then it will be game on and i genuinely fear for the safety of our travelling england fans.
However asking liverpool fans and the club to start looking at themselves and think did we do this all wrong, we need to stop this now and just show support in the stadium wont happen because they believe they have not played any part in all this
And that is the scary thing

But that would be nothing to do with those jolly scousers, lah.
The trading on tragedy cup is a yearly two team compy. No the issue is Hillsborough and everyone being frightened to death of criticising the club in any way shape or form for fear of being accused of being insensitive as they then use Hillsborough as some sort of defence to silence anything negative.
