You're a special breed though. The fact that you can't understand why fans of other clubs are desperate for you not to win anything speaks volumes.
I mean the REAL reason, not the ones you dream up about jealousy. You either don't have the capacity or the humility to have a good hard look at yourselves and how you portray yourselves to the wider world.
Fans of other clubs tend to adopt a gallows humour whenever their team is going through a rough spell and it can strike a chord with many fans who can remember when they hit hard times.
You're better than that though aren't you? The famed sense of humour drops it's thin veil and it's someone else's fault. You're football royalty. You must have been shafted.
You'll never walk alone. You'll think alone though because everyone else is wrong aren't they?

Lingard's main contribution at the 'stadium of rotating managers' is his facility for running round the pitch a lot with an anvil-shaped head.
