My Liverpool supporting mate, Scouser, just looks ill.

Seriously, I told him he needed to calm down (no pun intended) before the Watford game. He admitted he isn't sleeping well and isn't "enjoying this title race"

I told him it hadn't even started yet! He didn't need to hear that!
We know more than most how stressful it is when you haven't won a trophy for decades. It was just sheer relief after the FA Cup in 2011 and I felt sick in 2012 for weeks right up till 93.20! There is no doubt this transmits to the players which makes our QPR comeback even more remarkable. A lot of our team looked overwhelmed by pressure that day but Mario Balotelli and Sergio stood up to it in those last seconds. If Liverpool win the title this year they will deserve it.

Even that is debatable. The amount of good fortune they have had this season is astonishing (offsides, penalties etc). Generally speaking, any team that wins the Prem (apart from us, obviously) I begrudgingly allow they've been the better side and their success is justified. But in this case I really will feel aggrieved if the dippers win it.

Same as 2013/14, when Gerrard got near 25% of the penalty count of his 17 year Liverpool career and they couldn't foul anyone if they tried.

Yes the upshot of the attack on the dipper fan is appalling but so was the potential for injuries on the coach. I don't rate one higher than the other... violence has moved out of grounds given the CCTV etc in there - if clubs have stewards and CCTV in grounds then its incumbent on plod to deal with the stuff out of grounds. Somehow they have been able to identify and convict an individual who committed an appalling assault on one individual yet the same force cannot locate/ find/ convict one individual from a mob splattered all over social media who bombarded a bus? I feel for the fan and his family and am glad the culprit will be incarcerated but cannot understand or forgive the crappy effort they have made on the bus attack

The bus attack made it more likely that Roma fans would seek to assert their credentials IMHO, making it more likely that one of their fans would suffer injury. That's what the scousers don't get. I suppose it's what enables small scale incidents to snowball and snowball- the end result being walls being pushed over and people being killed.

So true, unfortunately.

It did. As soon as that happened, they became a 'scalp' for ultra groups. The evidence is there on the ultra forums.
