A couple of gems from a new Liverpool fan over on the Caf.
I hope they don't ban him too soon, the outstanding quality of his posts, as one fan noted, are there for all to see.

On a United fan saying City beat Burnley and that's it;

They won't. Not Burnley. City is completely exhausted and shot at this point. No legs in any of their players. They only beat United because United have been playing like a relegated spineless coward club the last 6 to 8 matches. It's the same as playing Huddlesfield at this point. Burnley on the other hand is on absolute fire. You can say they are the third best club in the premier league over the last 4 matches. Only City and Liverpool have been more impressive. It's all about current form and Burnley is on red hot form. They are also rested and refreshed. They will go into the City match fighting 100%. City WILL drop points at Burnley. I will not be shocked if they lose, I definitely see City playing a draw.

It's funny, people think United was going to be City's biggest obstacle. All along it's been Burnley.

And his opinion on CL;

Champions League is still the biggest club trophy in Europe. By far. It don't matter what some random dudes in Manchester think. Liverpool winning the Champions League will mean they have had a far more successful season than City. Bottom line. This squad and the Liverpool foundation is set to dominate for the next 10 years. Manchester United will most likely end up worst next season than this. .

I honestly feel United is the new Tottenham. Forever languishing between 4th and 9th.

Unbelievable how both City and Liverpool are still trading blows as each game week goes by in the premier league. It’s like a 100 shot rally in tennis, if we win it amassing the amount of points over two seasons and coming back from the dead in December is remarkable. You have to say Liverpool have shown amazing consistency losing one game up until now.

3 games to do it, Burnley away scares the shit out of me when it shouldn’t. They should breeze through their fixtures but having to play Barcelona in the middle of it all puts a different complexity on it all.

Strap yourself in it’s going to get interesting.
You're right, its like a penalty shootout and we're up to 35 all in sudden death.
To be fair this "The lead has changed hands 26 times" quote is a bit bollocks - the games have been moved around to ensure this happens, City or Liverpool never play twice on the run. If City kick off at 12:30 and win to go top before Liverpool win with a kick off at 3:00 to go 'back' top its not really a change in the lead, if City kicked off at 2:00 and Liverpool 5 past you wouldn't class it as a change in the lead.

The bitterness from the 'Manchester City' thread over there is hilarious. All they talk about is how the PL need to act before we turn it into the French League or SPL and the only thing stopping us is them......

Not taking into account, that the reason we are at this level is because of supreme management throughout the club and a manager who demands total perfection. They spoke about the value of the teams last night and United was exacted the same as City's ffs.... Smart recruiting, smart coaching and smart football departments are why we are here and if you can't handle that fuck off.

You haven’t mate - 4 keepers at 4 different clubs have closed it by 12 for you. Atkinson gave you 2 more with the Wolves handball against us early doers so that’s 14. You’ve maybe realistically ‘won’ 11 points you didn’t have last year but in your heart of hearts fella you know that without those gifts you’d still be miles away.

You forgot the 3 points they got at Vicarage Road when Watford were denied a blatant penalty in the 2nd half with the score 0-0. The smegheads ran straight up the park to score and go on to win the game.

We’re always aware where we’ve come from. 34 years without a trophy keeps us level headed and grounded. We don’t chant we’re going to win the league, print title winning t-shirt before the title is won, etc.

The thing is, we know where we are now, because you lot, including RAWK, etc, remind us on a daily basis, that we’re a plastic club, with plastic a fan base, a club with no istory, a club with no worldwide support, a club that can’t fill it’s stadium, owners who are are constantly cheating FFP so they can buy success and trophies, we’ve never won it, mercenary players, who only play for money, etc. All those things and more that Liverpool aren’t. YAWN!

Changed the game? As in you and every Liverpool would still love to have Liverpool, United and Arsenal dominating football on and off the pitch. Using your old financial might to win trophies, to crush any opposition, to run the game how you want, carving up the monies for yourselves, bringing in rules and regulations that cement your place at the table, etc. Dare any club, regardless of how they do it, smash that fucking cosey cartel of Liverpool, United and Arsenal dominating and strangling football in this country for decades after decades. Those day’s are well and truly over.
Get used to that fact.
Get in you little dancer, great post.

Ah, so it wasn't "200 +" then.

And this almost pales into insignificance considering the money you have at your disposal making you practically the richest club in the world.

With the money spent generated from selling our best players Liverpool FC have closed a considerable gap on this club by a whopping 25 pts. Credit to our manager.

But hey, how dare LFC have the temerity to challenge MC for the league title, they should roll over for them like most teams do up and down the country every weekend.
Spend away, just don't moan about another club doing so. Or talk about doing things the 'right way'

If we wanted to balance the books we could sell anyone of our squad tomorrow for silly amounts. Difference is our best players want to stay at our club.

If you spend upwards of £200m, improving on your last points tally is the bare minimum; significantly too, again, it wasn't pocket money you threw at your squad.

Awk sure we can't all have opposition 'keepers throw the ball into their net for us.

Its laughable, pool now believe Burnley is our "slip up game", all very well, but they say it like they've already won their remaining 3 games.

Beating United will have give us a massive mental boost and put another level of stress on them.

Wolves and Newcastle will not be easy!!
