Liverpool thread 2018/19

We have proven the highest consistency over the last 2 season and if we are honest i believe we will consistently smash the 90pt barrier every year, and we have done that with huge injuries to key players

Liverpool on the other hand have had a huge amount of luck both with no long term injuries and suspect officiating - VAR will play its part in the latter next season (hopefully) and it remains to be seen if liverpool can cope with any players missing long term such as mane, salah etc etc

This is the dippers best shot to get a premier league title because i cannot see them accruing the same points tally next year and losing just one game

Phil Mcnulty at BBC intimating that a good old dive should be part of LFCs title winning armoury. With viewpoints like this no wonder the game is going to rat shit!!!

"Liverpool enjoyed a large slice of good fortune with the free-kick that led to the winner, as there appeared to be no contact between Fabinho and Matt Ritchie for the infringement that allowed Xherdan Shaqiri to launch the deadly delivery.

Champions are fashioned around quality and talent, but there must be other assets to complement them. This Liverpool side possess those in abundance"

Btw Phillip, City have won the league three times in recent years without these "assets" to rely on!!
Blatant, shameful, shameless, disgraceful comments.
While I'm more than a little sore about the whole farce, a little thought does console me. The fact that we have won what we have won recently, we have won without any help from anyone.
In fact we have won it despite everyone being against us. You name it, we've had it all from blind refs to FFP and everything in between but we've overcome it to become the strongest and most successful, consistent team in the country and we've done it playing beautiful football, the most beautiful football this country has ever seen, while breaking records that had stood for decades and we have become a self sustaining commercial powerhouse in the process.
I've got enough self awareness to know this post sounds a bit RAWKish but I'm proud of the club I support, I'm proud of the way it conducts itself on and off the pitch, I'm proud of the players who play for us and how they conduct themselves on and off the pitch, not that we'll ever get any credit from anyone ever for it, and the best thing of all is that we have only just got going, we have a great future ahead of us and we are already the envy of our rivals.
So, they can help Liverpool all they want this season, I still think we'll win it Sunday week when they can crawl back into the hole they came out of, taking their candles, tears, bent refs and 'istree with them.

Watching Liverpool last night the way they play out from the back in their own half then by pass the midfield by lumping it long into the channels for Salah or Mane to get on. They are a hybrid of Guardiola and Joe Kinneer.

Keep saying it is Harry redknapp tactics kick n rush with pacey forwards, no fucking skill required in the middle

Salah peels off his man, the defence ball watches then it gives either Mane or Firminho an opportunity to capitalise on the chaos that’s caused. Pep figured this out and left them toothless at Anfield, I don’t know why the rest of the league hasn’t yet.

Spot on. The period where Newcastle were all over them shows that they haven't really progressed in that respect. At one point newcastle played it into the channel, then liverpool immediately tried to double up on the player, the ball was played around the press and got to a newcastle player unmarked in the centre just outside the box

I'm going to stand by that comment and we can discuss this again shortly after 7 O'Clock.
I genuinely hope you’re right for several reasons:
1. Want Brighton to have ‘nothing’ to play for next Sunday
2. Like them as a club. Great narrative around the loyalty and perseverance of their supporters. Therefore want them to stay up.
3. Love the town. Great place to visit. One of the best nights out in the land. Therefore ditto about them staying up.
4. Don’t like Warnock.
5. Think Cardiff have been unbelievably small-time over Sala
6. Quite like Lewis Dunk. Think his is a nice story.
A bit late but *coughs* :)
