I'm trying to work out how football is played off the pitch.

Pretty sure with the right sort of mischief making this week, we can have Captain Colgate as the next Barcelona manager. This will be good timing with the UEFA Sunday League cup final on the horizon.

Looking back on the last two seasons, one of the things that really stands out for me is Pep’s determination to carry on playing football the way he sees as being the right way. Not for instance to put The Big Man on if we need a goal with 15 minutes to go and play hoof ball. That’s one of the reasons we have won so many games late on, especially last season, because we played our football till the end.

Remember when we played Liverpool at home in January? We were 2-1 up in the last few minutes and so what did they do? They put Van Dijk up front and started hoofing long balls to him.

When push comes to shove, Pep has complete faith that his approach will prevail over 90 minutes. Klopp panics if they need a goal with 5 minutes to go and reverts to hoof ball. He might actually have achieved better results if he stuck to his principles the whole time, rather than abandon them in panic.

Maybe that, deep down, is the difference between the two.

How many penalties did they get from diving, when something was needed ? I would say his principals are akin to Mourihno's,
which are win at ANY cost.

That's deep but i reckon you are right,aside from the spurs away CL game which confused the players i think,he doesn't waiver,it must be amazing for a player to know the manager has the utmost trust in you and the players trust each other to just carry on pressing and being patient and stay calm,i think klopps style is light years below pep's,as you say they revert to hoofing it,they got an incredible amount of luck and cheated and tried every dirty trick in the book whilst we stayed calm and focussed and got the job done,they threw everything at it whilst we stayed true to ourselves and didn't resort to dirty tricks,without the luck next season i don't see them coming near us unless we drop
