Even “one of their own” Souness is baffled by how that free kick was given.

Even with the world watching, they’re not even trying to be subtle anymore. It’s not incompetence(every week?) it’s bent simple as that. This league was decided in August before a ball was kicked, and they’ve wanted it to go to the wire all along to “boost the brand”. Is it any coincidence that it’s panned out the way it has this season, on the back of Scudamore’s comments at the start of the season? So it’s a huge achievement to be where we are, considering what we’ve been up against all season.

Our boys will turn up big style versus Leicester, Brighton and Watford.........I am however very concerned about the officials part in where this title ends up.........if deliberate hand ball on the line is NOT denying a goal scoring opportunity I don't know what is .....RED all day long.

Yes, but if he gives a red it's a penalty, no necessarily going to score it like Suarez with Uruguay.

Still haven’t seen a replay of Milner’s first challenge! I’ve talked on here before about double yellows never being given when there are times they should be. Last night after the first tackle which should have been a yellow he was allowed to effectively carry on and get a free yellow card. I also want to see the first challenge again because live I thought it could have been a red. Looked a really nasty, aggressive one.
Chris Brunt was booked twice and sent off for doing the exact same thing when he was playing for Northern Ireland.

It would be fking amazing to see Liverpool Lose title with 97 points and 1 loss
The annoying thing about this scenario would be that the achievement of us winning back-to-back Premiere League titles; the first a record smashing wonder season and the second playing under the immense pressure of a serious challenge is that none of that will matter because the Dippers will be hailed as the greatest team ever to finish second in the history of football EVER.

I can see the back pages now: "Heartbreak" with a picture of Klipperty consoling a tearful Salad, then 7 more pages with pictures of crying fans, and reasons why the dippers 'deserve' to be Champions. City will be squeezed in somewhere on the inside pages, no doubt mentioning the 'oil money' and FFP.

I wonder how BBC Sport would report it?

They mocked the womens teams last week for finishing second despite being unbeaten.

Along with scoring 198 points in 2 seasons.

You're right. It will be boom in candle sales should they lose the title.

That's the first time I've seen that free kick. If we win tomorrow on the back of Sterling doing that kind of thing you can absolutely guarantee it'll be headline news.

a linesman one metre away from a blatant dive, like the west ham goal....obvious. official needs a slap of his salary the dumb blind ****.

i m also annoyed of the results, keeping CL alive from other ****s.....i had thought, about results keeping the rag scumbags in a race. bit pissed off.

After watching the highlights and some of those ridiculous decisions, if the dubious officiating appears on Monday, I’ll be done with football.
There’s obviously something ‘fishy’ going on within the officiating circles and I’m sure everyone can see this even the neutrals except the dipper vermin.

It’s time for penalty goals in football like in rugby. For handballs on the line why should a team that would have been guaranteed a goal have to go through the process of taking a penalty? Should be a penalty goal and yellow card.

2 more wins is all it takes to raise their fume levels to volcanic ferocity.
The corrupt officials and media who want them to win will be gutted. Its amazing to read the sports pages as there is hardly a mention of city. They get away with so much on and off the pitch and this contributes to their belief that they can do and get away with anything. The media are frightened to say anything negative and any on or off field antics will be airbrushed out of 'istree

This is now beyond a joke. It’s actually scandalous. How many points now directly from dives and cheating?

And the worst thing is these twats process all this to mean that it’s ‘fate’.
