In the Premier League era, Liverpool have spent £1,233,805,000 in the aim to win a league title and failed.

The shittest return for money spent in sports’ history and whatever that figure is come the end of that wait for them I’d bet it’ll be the shittest return for money spent in another century’s time.

I know not winning the league having got 97 points is painful but they should still be a happy lot given they have 22 more points than last season. Liverpool buy a goalie (who is no better than the last goalie was until the CL final) and a bang average centre back who, in half a season, become the best player the Prem has ever seen. They increase their points total by 29% in a single season under a confirmed bottler and it's all above board.
