Liverpool thread 2019/20

Mane and Salah is definitely one to keep an eye on. Yesterday’s reaction wasn’t a one off, it’s the sign of a player who’s finally had enough and snapped. Klopp can flash his gnashers all he wants, all is not rosy in camp.

The Egyptian diver is trying to reach his goal-scoring tally from two seasons ago, as he was last term, and it’s not working. As others have said, 2017/18 was a one-off for him, not the his usual level.

Apparently he and the Kung-fu artist no longer get on.

Oh well.

Mane's reaction yesterday is eruption of accumulation of annoyance that goes back to last season. Watch any Liverpool's game last and this season and you'll see at least one situation where Mane is clearly not happy about Salah going for a glory instead of picking him in better position. He just couldn't control himself anymore yesterday as it was seriously mind boggling that Salah decided to dribble past two players and not assisting with only goalkeeper in front of Mane.

Not sure how is that going to finish, maybe Salah changes a bit under pressure and they score more goals with him being less selfish, but Mane definitely had enough of him.

I've said it last season, Liverpool lost a league because of Salah. All those draws that helped us overtake them were in the period when he couldn't score to save his life and he was forcing it in each of those games, playing to break his scoring fast and not for his team to win the game.

Seriously, who wouldn't get pissed off when you don't get a ball in this situation and he tries to dribble and miss by 5 yards. It' as easy pass as you could imagine and then as big a chance as you'd wish.

I think some of it comes down to Mane (and Firmino) doing nearly all of the work defensively to allow Salah to amble around the pitch and devote literally all of his energy to attacking the opposition whilst very often ignoring Mane during those attacks (often when he is in a much better position to score, like yesterday). Mane does all of the tracking back, pressing, and running forward in support, and Salah gets to do whatever the **** he wants, including wasting a massive number of chances per game because he’s the “Egyptian King.” Mane just finally snapped (fourth game in, mind) yesterday after the ridiculous instance of Salah’s ****wittery.

I never thought I would say this, but Mane is right: Salah is an absolute selfish, lazy, soft **** that only cares about his stardom. If he didn’t score the odd goal that brought “glory”, attention, and money to Liverpool (the latter two being what they really care about) he wouldn’t be on the pitch because he is actually one of their main liabilities from a defensive standpoint. He’s the very definition of a luxury player. And he is favoured above others at Liverpool and Mane knows it.

Someone jokingly asked me yesterday, even with my criticism of him, wouldn’t I want him at City as he is a wonderful player, and I can wholeheartedly say I would never want him anywhere near our squad as his antics would throw our system right off (something Pep would never tolerate regardless of how many goals he scored himself) and sow disharmony within the team.

They are clearly a very good team and honestly I make them ever so slight favourites based on what I have seen so far this season.

We have to be 100 percent on it.

It won't be long before van Dijk's head is turned, the worst thing that could have happened to Liverpool is him winning the award for bestest player ever, Barcelona or Real will come knocking and van Dijk will go on strike for the third time for a move.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer club.

Never get involved with a woman that's cheated on her last two partners because.......
They’ll eventually award her Player of the Year and you’ll have to expand your front door to accommodate her massive head entering?

If he’s getting shit off the Liverpool “legends” (lol) he should’ve just stayed at City.

Well its happeing again. Media creaming over them. Sky headlines "Liverpool look hungrier than ever" perfect start looks like it won't end soon blah blah blah. Our stories are all injures lol and nothing about scores etc. Why do the media absolutely love them to bits?

££££££££££££

Sky are a business and I've seen nothing to make me think they have the slightest interest in some kind of 'fair play' in their coverage unless it corresponds with their raison d'être - making money.

BT the same.
