It’s a stew that fishermen used to take around ports of the Baltic Sea, it’s got nowt to do with Liverpool.

Labs kausis means a "good plate" in Latvian, and in Lithuania they use labas káuszas for a "good plate". In other places: Norway (lapskaus), Sweden (lapskojs), Denmark (skipperlabskovs meaning "skipper's lobscouse") and northern Germany (labskaus) all mean the same thing, the name of the stew.

All much older words for the stew they’re describing than how it’s been related to the city of Liverpool and their demonym of Scouse.

In Stoke it’s known as Lobby, or a Staffordshire Beef Lobby.

I think you've missed the point. I don't think anyone is saying that everybody should play twice a week for ever more and Klopp should dancing a jig. What people are saying is a) it's the price of being "successful", b) every team has lots of fixtures in Dec/Jan, c) we had a similar situation a few seasons ago and there was no sympathy for us, d) threatening to not play the game is pathetic - they pretty much played the kids in the last round, why can't they play the same kids in the next round?

Whatever. We could play them when the semi finals are supposed to be on. There's a 5 week gap between the semis and the final so there's time there I suppose. The pl could move another fixture too I suppose. Wouldn't be right to cram it in so there's 3 games in 4 days or something stupid like that.

Or you could just get over yourselves and play the fixture when it's scheduled. The dates were out before the start of the season. It was always a possibility. Play the kids in the Carabao cup. Or send the kids to Qatar. Nobody gives a fuck, just stop fucking whinging about it.

Absolutely as other clubs have never had to deal with fixture congestion due to the intransigence of the PL/FA . Clearly there is a special case needs to be made for Liverpool .

But seriously, when you ignore/weed out ridiculous suggestions/comments it's not too bad.

It's crazy that England is the only country with a top football League which doesn't try to ease fixture congestion.
Klopp will probably send out the u23s to play the league cup. Should he be fined for that if he wants a full compliment of first team players in Qatar?

Then there was the time when City were forced to play a 5th round cup tie at Chelsea as the late game on a Sunday and then having to fly to Kiev the following morning for a Champions League game on the Tuesday. The FA didn't give a fuck about that but plenty of media hacks and pundits took the opportunity to accuse City of disrespecting the FA Cup when they fielded a squad side with several youngsters.

City are also scheduled to play at Wolves on 27th December then face Sheffield United less than 48 hours later but the Premier League doesn't give a fuck about that either.
