I'm not criticising Pep for spending the money, all managers would, but failing to even consider the cost of the city squad as being a factor in your recent success just makes it easier for other fans to dismiss city as an oil club. Ha that didn't take you long to go full dipper,the core of our players cost peanuts as they have been here 8,9,10 yrs,you are reading how much the squad is now worth NOT what they cost,we have brought well for years that's why,i can't be arsed to go through what they all cost us to buy,like i said mancini and pellers won the league and cups with the old players who cost peanuts,we CAN'T spend any more than anyone else so how rich the owner is doesn't matter,he hasn't put any money in for several years,we are self sufficient

Perhaps if you read my post? My point was that failing to even acknowledge the financial advantages you possess allows other fans to dismiss you as being an oil club, whether that's fair or not.

I'm from the Wirral, so not a scouser I'm afraid, although I'm sure there are more jokes about plastic scouser still available.

The teeth and the hair? All true, but at least he can joke about it.

I think it’s fair to say we’ve spent a shit load on our team but for me that not the point as all teams in the PL have spent a shit load of money. We spend our money very well and we can afford it. People get hung up on our rich owner where the reality is now like you said, we balance the books and make a profit. Maybe other clubs should stop moaning about city’s money and work out why their own clubs aren’t investing as well as we do. Also, anyone who mentions net spend is automatically a numpty.

I think it’s all your fault Kaz. Your well documented infamy on Rawk means they can claim some weird kudos on there if they can go back and brag about arguing with you directly... poor deluded souls
