i would agree that fighting in this day and age at football is stupid but it's as much a society/ cultural thing. any big northern club playing at millwall would have got the same reception. i have been to enough merseyside derbies to know it's not one sided and would be stupid i agree to say we have no idiots. not sure who BJ is mind, you might have to reverse those initials.

Haha...the reversal was deliberate, I knew you’d pick up on who I was on about. I know a few lads who go in your main mob and they’re sound as fuck, always have been. My point is every club has its sound lads and its bellends. It’s like MM for us, he’s a proper Marmite character. The United lads love him for some reason whereas this place takes the opposite view. He goes a bit far sometimes in my view but that’s footy fans for you.

some of the stories re MM were quite funny in the day - the trip back from rome for one. but i find he has been a bit of a parody of himself and plays to the crowd now. i think your older lot are decent in general and bit more clique than ours hence the transalpino stuff being more geared towards your fanbase than ours. i do think it's changed drastically over the last few decades and the derby is no longer a pleasant experience at either ground. especially on the pitch ;-)

There’s defo more LFC stuff from Transalpino, I’ll agree on that. There’s some great neutral gear though even if some is a bit overpriced. Agreed on the Derby, it’s hard for me sometimes to reconcile it with the ones I grew up going to. That said, I’ve got far more in common with the older Blues, not least the age thing, just far more sensible about things.

I do find it strange that they are not singing from the rafters after the government started urging everyone to stay safe during covid19 using the Liverpool Method. Apparently it was first trialled on Loris Karus and worked so well as 2 metres became Turkey.

I put them on ignore it’s far easier. Shame though one of them seemed to have half decent taste in music
 
Can the mods just bin off these dippers. They are purely on here to antagonise and piss us all off and in the main are successful. Nobody on here or any other fan of any other club gives a flying fuck about their shithouse of a club. If i wanted to here constant scouse drivel I would put sky sports or talkshite on

I'd have to say Liverpool city probably is/was. And to that end Everton is the working class football club of Liverpool.

Liverpool football club, on the other hand, has it's roots firmly entrenched in complete capitalist mercenary buying beginnings, then sugar daddied in the 60's+ with the original sprinkling of Div2 inflated spending on mercenaries to get into Div1, leading onto a period of domination...and finally taken over by the ultimate capitalists, originating from the US, whilst sponsored by the bank just behind BCCI on a scale of dubiousness. It's surprising that Goldman Sachs (The 'great vampire squid' as Private Eye calls them) hasn't sponsored them.

Beginning, middle, and the current end... all capitalistic, all wanting to screw profit from working class.
