Ha i really wouldn't,it was a stretch for me to call the comm shield one,i was with khaldoon,3 plus 1
Look at the teams in this,it's so far from competitive,it really is nothing to do with being the best,if we are calling this a trophy i despair
But you do see that there’s a difference between the Asia trophy that we’ve been invited to play in and this that Liverpool have qualified to be in, don’t you?

Yes but it still doesn't make it a competitive trophy,to me it has to have an element of competition to it,the dippers will say they are the best team in the world when clearly it means nothing of the sort

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a bit of a nonsense trophy but if we were in it I’d still want to win it. I’m sure some of the people saying it’s meaningless were bemoaning their late winner last night!

If any Liverpool fan genuinely thinks winning it makes them the best team in the world, when they didn’t win their domestic league (and indeed haven’t for thirty [30] years) then more fool them.

If City were playing in it I would be more concerned about picking up player injuries than actually having the kudos winning it which sums up its importance for me.

Who won it last year, the year before? fcuk knows, you could reel off the winners of the major European Leagues though I'm sure..

The Domestic and European trophies are first and foremost..

The dippers qualified for it with a W8 D1 L4 record in the Chumps league.

If by winning it it then labels them the best team in world football then the game has finally sold out..!

Money making jolly that the dippers fcuked off a domestic trophy for and used the opportunity to play their victim card by playing their under 10's against a former European Cup winning giant whilst bemoaning their fixture pile up..

Not that I give a fcuk but I hope they get smashed just to avoid the sickening love in and fawning that will enviably ensue if they beat some long legged pink birds at the weekend..

Cilla fkin Black. Enough said.

Don't let the scousers win pep, please.
I saw Ricky Tomlinson a few years ago hosting a comedy evening (in Oldham), he slagged Cilla Black off big time, called her a talentless fucker and said her accent went more Scouse the further she moved away from Dipperville. He said she was so ignorant and hated working class “fans” trying to talk to her but she loved celebrity arse lickers, think Tomlinson had to get it off his chest, he was really laying into her.

She was reputed to be a Tory and admirer of Thatcher.

Thing is for years Liverpool's working class largely voted Tory because of the large number of ulster loyalists in that City. It's only in the last 30 years or so that it has become Labour City. I might be wrong on the dates but Liverpool is very closely linked to Irish politics.

Manchester also experienced an earlier influx of Irish immigration prone to the republican cause hence the Manchester martyrs. If you read Engels book the Conditon of the Working Class in England which is an account of mid nineteenth century Manchester he describes an area called Little Ireland near what is now Oxford Road railway station. I have read elsewhere that 10-15% of Manchester's population were at that time Irish.

ANyone who lives in Manchester should read that book. From memory it is straightforward and can be read as an account of Manchester as seen through someone sympathetic to its people. Whatever your politics, I think you would enjoy it.
