Two things, it would have been made very differently if Liverpool had pipped us to the post, and more importantly if Liverpool had won the league and the Champions League, leaving us with just the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, we'd have been covered in a shower of shit and football fans everywhere would have had to suffer wall to wall Scousewank for.....Well?.....Forever really.

If saying don't be a t**t to someone trying to talk football on a football forum is a love-in then I'm guilty I'm afraid. And agreed, the wummers will always get what they deserve. I'm just saying give them a chance to show if they're genuine first instead of attacking them and turning them into wummers who wum as a f**k you leaving present.
As for not being aware of abuse, fair enough, but it happens and there's plenty of it. I'll put a link below to one I remember because it was recent. It's certainly not the worst, only about a 6 or 7/10, there are 8's and 9's around for anybody who wants to look for them. It doesn't encourage football talk, but it does encourage wums and keyboard warriors.
Going back before the last couple of years and Liverpool, there have been others, usually United fans.
Even without oppo fans the thread had descended to RAWK like levels and, imo, the shittyness was spilling over into some other threads.

Anyway, I'll try to leave the whole thing at that and see what happens.

If they come on to talk football then fine but it is like talking to a brain washed kid,they have no self awareness and talk like they have nothing to apologise to us for,also they will not have it that they got so much luck/help last season,until they start there they are not going to get far
 
There are so many amusing stories and funny anecdotes that people want to share about the shy, friendly and lovable scamps from the west end of the M62 that they get their own thread.

FYI, the first prize for the poetry competition is a season ticket at Old Trafford. Second prize is a season ticket at Anfield ;-)

Oh,and btw Karen7, you're only allowed one post per page, so make it a good one!

Yeah, that's fair enough. What I'm getting at is that 20 posters with half a dozen pages of telling them angrily that they, personally, are responsible for murder and bus wrecking isn't discussion, has nothing to do with football, and is really about people wanting to be a c**t to someone simply because of the team they support.
Maybe this isn't you personally, but when your negative remarks are added to the more vitriolic ones it all adds up. Not only that, but 'they' probably don't have anything to apologise for. Some Liverpool fans somewhere do, but a new poster on here is no more responsible for everything you lump together as 'Liverpool' as I am or you are for everything somebody else lumps together as 'City'. You might want to start with how much luck they had but if they came on to talk tactics you demanding they answer your question first isn't going to work for anyone.
Give them a chance. There's no reason you can't bring their luck into it, but if they don't see it then there's no point crushing them. Talk them round; use your feminine charm to show them where they are wrong.

I agree that there are double standards at play. We seem to be able to abuse new posters with impunity whereas as soon as they respond then we get precious.
