This whole booing the anthem business is a lame attempt to stay relevant. It’s cool to be different kind of thing. As a city and as a people they want recognition and individuality. They probably think it’s cool because Barcelona boo the Spanish anthem, only difference is there’s actually historical reasons for that. This whole were not English were scouse thing, no one cares. There’s a reason the whole of the country laughs at them

He was certainly one greedy fecker today. One or two sideways passes and they could have been in. Not really a team player imho.

The point was made several times during commentary that they have played more pre-season friendlies than we have.

They couldn’t understand why we haven’t played more.

Talkshite after the game - those towering intellects Dean Saunders and Jamie O'hara criticsizing both teams preparation along the lines of " not what it was in our day - all running up hills and playing 8 games in 7 days to get you match fit" - thick ****s can't get that they are dinosaurs PLUS both teams will have done this closed season much of what they did for the previous one.............which led to the 2nd and 3rd highest points totals in a season ffs. So wrong in their prep obviously.

It was a nice touch, though I’m not impressed with him giving his shirt to one of them instead of a City supporter.

I don’t know much about O'Hara, but Saunders is absolutely useless as a radio presenter. Apart from all his other faults - and there are many - he is always banging on about his time at Klanfield and how things were done back then.

I do have fond memories of him though; he was the man who missed three penalties for three different teams against City.
