Anfield Wrap

From the Sports Journalists Association web site reviewing another Liverpool publication:

" Such tripe defrauds the reader robbed of learning more about player performance by a meaningless and endless tirade of filth.

It’s difficult to imagine how or why editor Josh Sexton let this uncontrolled blasphemy through and even harder to understand how respected publisher deCoubertin approved it. If there is ever a reprint the book would be much enhanced with Johnson’s ratings binned.

Hardcore Liverpool fans will love it as it’s a book with the happiest of endings.

Meanwhile many of the rest of us will wonder what Liverpool and Spurs were doing in the Champions League. Both finished outside the Premier League’s top two in 2018 and have never won the competition. Yet genuine champions from countries like Northern Ireland, Finland and Estonia must fight though a long series of qualifying rounds having finished at the highest league level they possibly could. That cannot be right. European club football is surely due for a complete overhaul."

Where have all the keyboard warrior Liverpool fans gone? Saw their plastic fans, sitting on plastic seats, drinking from plastic cups earlier... plastic ****s. ;)

They haven't won 14 consecutive games though :)

We beat them at Wembley.

And..... Napoli beat them, they drew Sporting, Sevila beat them, as did dortmund. All within the last 14 games.

Unless they're not counting the ones where the y lost or drew, which oc don't seem to count in dipper land :)

I quite like the logic. If you don't count the games we've lost, we are unbeaten at the etihad/coms since we left maine Road. That is a pretty impressive record

5 point lead and Laporte out until next year. Make no mistake, there will be Liverpool fans who think they already have one hand on the trophy.

Just like last season, the league will be decided by our two games with them. I can't see them losing to anyone apart from us. City and the dippers are so far ahead of the rest of the league now, which means today's result is a big blow.
