I know what you mean, that’s what it was like for us as kids. Torres was the first one though where a player left for another English side as a perceived step up. That hurt to be honest. Gerrard had a couple of flirtations in fairness, but it’s history now. The current crop seem motivated as a unit but I look at it as the managers force of personality going through the squad. Much the same as yourselves going from the Amazon documentary if you get me?

Nothing perceived about it.

It WAS a step-up.

Not sure Torres would see it that way now tbf. His career went downhill after joining Chelsea.

Torres was already fucked before he left - he rushed back a serious knee injury and was just never the same player.

Still ar Chelsea he won the europa, far cup and CL which is more than any of his liverpool teammates could say.

In his pomp at Liverpool, what a player he was. Irrepressible.

He had the lot, until it was taken from him by way of a couple of bad injuries.

Just watching something about lake Menteith near Sterling, looks fantastic, somewhere on the must go to list.

Truly stunning up here mate it honestly is but sadly and last weekend it was local people, they treated the place like shit.

I’ve spent a lot of time up there, used to work in Annan off and on but never been to lake Menteith, they’ve got some white tailed eagles on it, I’ll have to go and have a look.

Our house is literally 25 yards from the river Dee and we have kingfishers, Ospreys, otters, you name it, we have it.

Liverpool's biggest issue is coming down the road in a couple years.

Mane, Salah and Firmino all getting closer to 30+ and they're gonna need a big signing or two to plug the gap they'll leave behind. Getting someone like Werner in this season and selling one of those next summer to reinvest would've been the way. Can't f**king wait to watch them fall apart when nobody wants a 30 year old Bob Firmino as they realise nobody wants a striker on plus 200k pw who can barely grab 20 goals a season because he tracks back a bit. Load of ****s

I keep hearing how liverpool have a great young side and I always thought they 'fab 3' up front were all nearly 30. Replacing their fab 3 wont be cheap.
