As far as l recall every other winner has been presented on the pitch with us fans having to wait while the PL and Sky get the dais with all its adverts set up together with all the other stuff that takes an age to sort out. I've always thought this was a PL/Sky rule as we could have a traditional up the steps presentation.
So why something special for this lot?
It means more!

Because it means more ,didn’t you know ?

It's all about the TV Optics for Sky selling their subs next season.

It'll be forgotten over time they lifted on with no one in the ground.*

*Officially.

Like most scousers who make the big time, they pretty soon bugger off from the area.

Laugh my bollocks off if they lift the trophy and someone leaks Van Dick is off to PSG for 500,000 a week and Salah to Madrid for the combined price of a Courtinho.

Like Blackburn and Leicester, they've never won this trophy before!

Large

And Blackburn were the first team to win it at Klanfield.

Not long ago I had a conversation (of sorts) with a Liverpool fan who flat out denied that the Moores family ever put a penny into the club. He said Everton was the only club they put money into. He'd also never heard of John Houlding and was convinced I was making it up when I told him Houlding ploughed big money into the club to win trophies and gifted them Anfield so they, like the rags, got a free stadium.

Beyond redemption.

It's the wrong sort of 'istree for them to understand.

Exactly, Sky don’t want an empty stadium as the backdrop to their adverts next season. Just surprised they didn’t cover the seats to make a giant green screen and add the crowd afterwards!!

Would surprise me if all of a sudden green sheeting is put on the seats that day so they digitise scousers celebrations.

Even better if there happened to be a convenient power cut around that area just as they present it, the moment lost in darkness forever

Last Friday I posted some stuff on the financial links between Everton/Liverpool and The Moores family/Littlewoods which started the late 50s/60s (in the CAS thread, p474). You may find this of interest. And what I touch upon is only the initial pump-priming for both clubs (£56k initial tax free loan for Everton; a £60k cash injection for Liverpool's transfer dealings). The financial support continued for the next couple of decades, enabling both clubs to win titles, get into European competition and develop as elite clubs.

I'm surprised at the Liverpool fan not knowing any of this. They are, after all, the most knowledgeable group of fans to be found anywhere on this rock we're all hurtling through Space-Time on, aren't they? Perhaps this scallywag was pulling your leg, the cheeky-chappy ragamuffin..?

Enjoy stereotyping people do you?

LOL, sorry Jimbo, but I think you are missing the point about what you are reading and where you are posting....
Liverpool and Liverpool fans have alot to be proud of, but there is also alot to be ashamed of and it comes with supporting the team. It also means that many of the comments have to be fully accepted. As has been said, if you dont like them, don't come here.
You just have to have the "thick skin" as has been said before and appreciate that it is all part of the tribalism that is football

Well everyone tells me but it means bugger all for me certain institutions are brand building and it's going to be worse next season.
The BBC are certainly are going to be pushing Leeds next year. Sick of hearing name drops on every news.

FFS! How old are you? Seriously? Having your oh-so delicate feelings upset by a bunch of opposing football supporters? You must be as fragile as a fucking porcelain tea cup trapped in a lift with 22 sumo wrestlers going at it.
Do us all a favour, find a medical encyclopaedia and look up 'spinal column', just to see what it is...because it is quite apparent you do not have one.
