We don't know if his Dad was a "****" Ian Wright was not his biological father but he certainly had a downer on City when he was eventually released second time around. SWP was never a great player but he was very good for us and the best of a bad bunch at a time when we were really shit, loved his commitment and application. He was our shining light. The Chelsea offer of £20m was met with "no way", far too little for a player of his ability, "what about £21m?" Go on then, we'll take it.
But also remember that SWP put in a transfer request after the first offer which meant City got the full amount.

The season we sold him, SWP was more than the best of a bad bunch. His goals were frequent, often outstanding and at big moments. He’d broken into the England team and had scored a cracking goal for them. Mourinho ruined him and he never hit those heights again.

Maybe Chelsea had better wide players at the time and he used them instead.
Loved SWP but the direction City were going when he resigned for us meant he was always going to be one of the players to leave eventually.

Just had a daily mooch on RAWK.
It's as though their posts are written knowing full well our fans are on their reading. The amount of posters on there who seemingly don't care about is quite amazing. They don't care about us that much they take the time out to air it publicly, as I say for our own reading.

The reality is they care a hell of a bloody lot!

I did hear at one time we were so close to administration that we had to sell him maybe @PrestwichBlue2 could help or it could have been BS

the sale of Coutinho was worth more than sheikh mansour wealth , we all know its a fact lar
All gone now.

Their owners have to hope Boston Red Sox are able to play in front of crowds this season.

Given the way the vaccine program in the US is stuttering I doubt that will happen.

If Linda Pizzuti wants some nooky Liverpool could be in real strife financially.

You wont get ne anywhere near a rivals forum, but i dont have to as we have plenty of Dippers at work who spout similar shite......they state they would much rather we win the league than the rags, knowing full well that such a comment is nothing more than a veiled insult in respect of their deluded perspective of our history and standing.

Fuck em,they despise us because Klopp will never be Pep and we are destroying their efforts to be top dogs again.

Whatever they outwardly say to the contrary is bollocks. This season is literally hurting them bad, pmsl!

I like to see occasional posts from proper fans of other clubs. Much of the time it is good hearted banter or even congratulatory to us.
However, it is a City forum and when the chips are down our bias will always prevail.
I remember a time when commentators on MOTD used to say, "Well the top 4 will always be the top 4...".
I (along with so many more) never subscribed to this view, I believe that true competition is everything and the more teams competing for the title the better, as it makes the joy of winning it all the more satisfying.
Who wants a 2 or 3 team league?
From where we were, say losing to Oldham 2-1 at home, in what would have been the 3rd division, to the Aguerrooo moment has been beyond my wildest dreams, unbelievable!
When we won that title, we gave hope to so many, that their clubs could get to the top too.(eg Leicester).
We broke the old hierarchy that day.
And where we are now is incredible.
We don't cheat, we don't dive, we don't get in the referees' face or brick other teams buses. We just play football and screw the rest.
You know, we used to sing about being the best team in the land and all the world, we were too, in so many ways, but now we really are on top of the world and on the pitch too!
At Maine Road there was a group who sat behind us who used the sing the song;

We've got an M and A and N
a, C and I TY

We've got the greatest football team that money cannot buy

We come from Maine Road Manchester, we're going to win the League *

And when it comes around again you're sure to hear us sing

And repeat

As the years wore on one lad used to add an onomatopoeia and shout "cuckoo" after league *. Used to get a laugh every game, it's one of the reasons I love my club, the fans are and always were, self deprecating, pessimistic and funny. For a lot of us what we're witnessing now was just a dream for years and those trips to Macc, Lincoln, Grimsby, etc (I didn't make York away) made us what we are, without witnessing those days it's difficult for others to emphasise. It's why itinerant Dipper and Rag fans will never understand our support, they only picked their teams because they were winning trophies and had the best players, absolutely no other reason.

Not forgetting York away and the 500,000 blues that went, it was massive ;-)
