The so-called "hard lads" at Liverpool wouldn't have lasted five minutes in the old days. The likes of Mike Doyle, George Heslop, Bill Foulkes, Norman Hunter and Ron "Chopper" Harris would have put them into orbit.

i use to play local saturday league football and our team was half civvies and half RAF mostly scousers. They were all nastly players ! infact one got sent of in a cup semi final within 20 seconds of the match starting ! Ball over the top he was through one on one with the keeper when the whistle went. He called the ref all the names under the sun as he thought he wasnt off-side. Ref called him over and red carded him, still he was calling the ref all the names under the sun, i thought he was going to hit the ref. The ref was good and said to him " i am sending you of for foul and abusive language". ''Well you shouldnt have blown for off side you ( long list of swearing again !! ). The ref ''i didnt blow it was the ref on the next pitch starting the match !! lol

still as he was a good player he gave someone else's name and was clear to play in the final ;)
