Scum, sub-human scum.
Why do they say that they'll work with LFC? Same if it was us. The only reasons imo would be to ...
1. Take accountability for the supporters being there and showing how theyll prevent it in the future or be held responsible or
2. Out the culprit.
I'd imagine they mean neither and that the phrase is used merely to play up to the scumbag fans because the police couldn't tolerated not being liked.
Both points spot on. I really did just shake my head in disbelief and disappointment when I saw what had happened. It should be possible to sympathise and criticise the fan base simultaneously for different incidents. It appears impossible for the press to do that.
As we saw with the poor chap who got hit over the head after our bus attack incident in the next tie their behaviour leads to more of e same than others. It’s dangerous and needs to be stamped out of the game
to do that the club and it’s fans have to accept that there is a problem and deal with it; and/or the football authorities need to sanction them appropriately
again, not happening
Seriously, if this was happening at either Manchester club then GMP would be on top of it straight away. Merseyside Police are totally complicit in these repeated attacks up to the point that they were giving updates on their Twitter feed as to when City's coach was due to set off and the change of route ffs. As for the dickheads responsible, well these rats have been attacking opposition coaches for longer than many think. 35 years ago - just 9 months after Heysel - they did this and a load of their own younger fans ended up on the receiving end too:
Which high ranking idiot took the decision to 'walk' the City bus and its useless escort through? City were forced to run a gauntlet in slow motion dictated by the motor cyclists and those of foot plodding along. Madrid were lucky they were not made such an easy target and were allowed through quite quickly.
But they were going to dominate football. In other news Liverpool are OUT of the Champions League.
And as a result their quest for silverware this season is over.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha
But you say that like it's just a bunch of kids. How old was that bloke who pushed someone in the fountain in Barcelona? At least in his 50s. Obviously when the police arrest all of the bottle throwers, we'll be able to see how old they are. Both points spot on. I really did just shake my head in disbelief and disappointment when I saw what had happened.
Maybe it's because I am just a grumpy old man now myself, but one of my first reactions was...why can they not simply stay at home?
Then I started thinking...how ere they brought up? Are you really taught and think it worthwhile and will actually do anything to throw something with the hope/intent of upsetting or injuring someone or damaging property?
Then I started to get into dodgy territory and wondered as to whether I would have done anything like that when I was younger and realised I would have got a a clip round the ear or a hiding from my old man.
Obviously you cant do that these days...pretty much like not feeding your kids!
I find it baffling the Liverpool police continuously allow it to happen. It gets labeled as a 'tiny minority' or 'pashun' but it could have blinded someone. There's nothing wrong with creating an atmosphere, but this is ridiculous. So Zidane nearly got clouted by another dipper coach attack..not much in the press about this..usual stuff about police will investigate, but probably have the same result as with City .. we tried but couldnt find the culprit. The real question here is why do dipper fans behave this way? Truthfully that bottle/brick could have killed him. Dont know if I am over-reacting but but just find the behaviour of dippers to be obscene. Heysel, Hillsborough etc. What is it with their fans ? Football means a lot to all fans, but wishing to deliberately harm someone, damage property, went out in the seventies. Why is it always the dippers doing this ? Do they feel they gain some advantage by behaving like thugs ? Even rags behave with more decorum..Am so pleased they lost, so so pleased.
