I for one am eternally grateful there's so many psychoanalyists on rawk to inform us that all City fans firstly don't exist and secondly we all know deep down that our titles are meaningless. I had no idea I secretly felt hollow about our 5 titles in a decade, I thought the sheer joy or the aguero moment, the Yaya goal in the FA Cup semi and final, the jesus 100 points goal, and many others were all false. The last 10 years has been a lie and I'm thankful that the rawk football royalty have opened my eyes to it.
I hope you guys enjoy your parade with an imaginary trophy as much as we enjoy ours with imaginary fans.
Oh, thank goodness you posted this! I thought it was just me engaged in this struggle with what exactly reality and existence are! It is so comforting to know I'm not alone in this!
Day in, day out I've been pondering the physical and metaphysical meanings of my very being, especially in the small hours, lying awake in that 'city of dreadful night' contemplating my own self-worth, believing I was all alone on this sojourn with my (it turns out) mistaken belief that my beautiful team has been carrying all before it this past decade or so.
But now, thanks to those cheeky chappy scallies at the other end of the East Lancs, I now see the folly of my thinking. I realise now that I don't actually exist and I have been deluding my non-existent self with mere phantasmagoria created by my non-existent sub-conscious of City's equally non-existent 'success' since 2011 (and the successes we've had since 1894).
Oh, if only they had been more storied than their own existence since 1892! With the power of their philosophical thinking and insight, why, they could have saved such as Thales, Heraclitus, Aristotle, Plato, Hegel, Heidigger and Schopenhauer all that time they collectively wasted on pontificating on the meaning of existence, life and self-worth. They could all have got on with those lists of jobs their Missuses had sorted for them instead..
Here's to those cheeky chappy scallies getting their just reward with a victory against The Red Filth this evening, to set them and their team (which is, after all, the greatest actual team to have ever existed in real existence, actually..) back on the way to the everlasting, unparalleled success they and their insightful thinking deserve.. it's the least we can wish for them, given the immense service they have rendered to us poor, deluded City fans!
