Liverpool are a very good side having a dip in form. Their levels have dropped off. Ours have. Tbh a decent title race with multiple teams is more interesting for me than romping it
I actually thought the Dipper's played well last night. Pope had the best goal keeping performances I have seen in a while. The way he was commanding on crosses was really impressive in an era where most keeper's just stay on their line.

I'm going to have to say, no. Leicester is the best team I've seen in outside of us. Said it when they dicked us back in the day, and they are still round still.

We are better bthan United, but that doesn't mean they can't win the league. They have a few flat track bullies. Fake-Debryune, Pogba, and the Striker kid. Both of them. They punish small teams.

They'd struggle against the top 6 but seem primed to whoop everyone else. And that could be enough this season.

So Leicester, United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Villa in that order.

I'm simply not doing that thing we did a few years back where everyone pretended leicester simply weren't contenders. Even as they beat team after team.

I'm looking at Leicester as the main Challenger. We need to beat them on their patch. Period!!!l

They have to be taken very seriously but I would be slow to call them the main contender just yet. The away game may or may not be crucial who knows but so could the home game against the rags. In addition I am not writing off Spuds or the dippers yet either. Let us see the shape of the table after the next 6 or 7 games and it should be a lot clearer.

What a wonderful start to the day!

I kept an eye on the Burnley game but at 70-odd minutes and 0-0, I thought why torture myself, of course Liverpool will get the last minute dodgy penalty or clearly offside goal not disallowed or Burnley OG etc etc etc

Then I checked the BBC this morning. Joy oh joy!!! I laughed out loud.

I think everyone takes Leicester seriously, the problem with the year they won it is no one took them seriously even when they were 4 or 5 points clear. We're now at the halfway point and realistically there's still 6 or 7 teams that could feasibly win it, and any side in that mix that can put a run together of 4 or 5 winning games start to look like contenders again.

Under old rules he should have been off, but I think they tweaked them recently that a keeper or defender can’t give a penalty away AND receive a red card unless it’s serious foul play or something like that.

If you are making an attempt to get the ball you can't get a straight red and a penalty unless it's serious foul play.

So Fabinho pulling the shirt could be a red card if that's what he gave the penalty for because all he's doing is trying to foul the guy. Alisson tried to win it, got there a fraction of a second later, so no red card.

Actually forgot they were playing so I only got to know of their result after watching Death in Paradise. Apparently Terrance Trent Derby got a right load of shit off Liverpool fans online. Thought he was the best right back ever to have played the game. Always thought he was great going forward but not so good going the other way.
He had so much space so many times on the edge of the Burnley penalty area it was incredible and he must have attempted 20 crosses

Knew it was something like that. Cheers

Have you looked at OUR form?

Yep! If I was a fan of any other club I'd be shitting it. I think if we go top with a game in hand then it will be very, very difficult to catch us. Just as you can't see where the goals are going to come from for Liverpool, it's hard right now to see us conceding 2.

Perhaps after prolonged use it becomes less effective?

The Dippers said at the end of last season they will hold a victory parade for winning the league no matter what time the Covid restrictions end. I'm really hoping the parade will be in the summer when they have qualified for the Thursday night cup, what an anticlimax that would be, talk about pissing on their parade.
They can do what they want I suppose? But how ridiculous are they going to look ?
The next champions will definitely have been already crowned before a gathering of people that large will be allowed??
We are only talking about 16 weeks to the end of the season

I’m not sure if I’ve misunderstood the rules but if you’re last man and make a genuine attempt to get the ball then it’s still only a yellow now instead of a red?

Two cases in point

1) Foden v Birmingham was brought down by the last man just outside the area and (which replays proved) and there was no free kick, no card and Birmingham actually got a goal kick

2) Cavani v Burnley was brought down by the last man outside the area and commentators said Burnley are lucky not to be down to 10
men.

Both genuine attempts for the ball.
