it’s not an incredibly poor take as you put it, even if I agree with your point on the cb move.

their success was built on almost all of their passing being done by full backs and cb’s switching long balls. Bringing Thiago in fundamentally changes this. So both points are correct.

They knock it long and their midfield pick up the second balls. Hendeson, wijnaldum and fabinho are mostly hustlers but thiago is too slow and often fouls. Plus he doesnt want to knock it long all the time. It kills their game.

they are missing the hustle of henderson and are playing thiago there who cant do any of that. Ergo hes messed up their system.

Henderson is playing CB whether Thiago is there or not.

If you think missing Henderson is the problem, the CB injuries messed up their system, not Thiago.
