You do wonder what underhand deals have been done, getting shite like Bournemouth to spend top money on players and then to have these players also flop is unbelievable.
Actually I just remembered reading somewhere Liverpool spent a fortune on agent fees. The most out of any EPL club by a long shot I think.

I think the whole Brewster deal is just incredible. Got Sheffield to spend 28m plus a buyback for I think 30 odd million? You would think getting Sheffield to spend that amount would have at least let them keep the player.

EDIT: Here it is.

The media are addicted to the hype, they can't help themselves and the likes of Wilder and Eddie Howe fell for it.

Remember when Sterling left and all we heard was how Jordan Ibe was twice the player? 18mths later and hes on the market for 18m and Howe can't get the cash out quick enough. Same thing with Solanke, been hyped for years and years for scoring in the youth teams, so hes on the market and Bournemouth again fell for it.

Brewster just the most recent example, was top goal scorer in the WC (Foden head and shoulders ahead of everyone..) and is hyped, he scores a few for Swansea and Sheff Utd panic and think they are getting a superstar for a cut price fee. Bet Wilder sat back and thought "I can't believe this, the most talked about striker in England for 28m, what a bargain!!"

I get all the piss taking about Liverpool on here and enjoy a laugh at some of the comments but to say Liverpool have been luck or are a poor team is ridiculous. They have been in 2 Champions League finals and won 1 . Won the Premier League by a mile and generally been 1 of the 2 best teams in the last 3 or 4 years. Everybody will concede that City have a stronger squad overall but Liverpools best 11 are more than a match for any team in Europe.
...for Christ's sake, stop referring to the team you supposedly support as 'they'.

Other than that, you were absolutely fucking nowhere 4 years ago.

Think they actually paid £35 million for Carroll.
It’s still a tad high for a cart horse.
I thought Carroll was pretty decent at Newcastle, not "35m decent", but could've been a good striker. Until Liverpool got him in to try and play some possession football.
