May have looked good tonight but then we looked quite good against Palace and then the wheels sort of fell off.
Just seems to be the way this season with so many clubs. At the start of the season i really thought everton were gonna be up there. Allan, Dacoure & Rodriguez along with DCL looked the business and then it went wrong, abit. Chelsea started well and then it went wrong, Rags looked awful and Ole was in danger and then they go on a run...all completely mad but makes it close and exciting.....
...then we have City...started slow due to short turn around and fitness. behind in games so never really a true reflection and got your poor performances out of the way early. Defence bedded in and kept going even when Aguero out and not scoring many. And then you go mad and are on a roll.

Going on what we have seen so far, I would hazard that only City should be confident of top 4, everyone else is going to be fighting it out. Just hope we can push City close but 7 points is going to be tough to make up....but as we know teams have dropped more than 7 points with only a few games to go!!!!
Yes it went wrong. Saint Virgil went through Rodriguez twice causing him to miss a few games but we know how that story ended. Then Allan got injured as did Digne, Richarlison, DCL but we know only one team had an injury crisis

If we can't beat them at Anfield when their only fit CB is a 19 year old who was playing in the 5th tier last season, we will never win there.

was just thinking this. Fabinho may be out as well, not sure what kind of injury he has.

it’s about time we win there.

What’s going on with that snidey little Cnut Thiago. If anyone goes near him to press, he’s screaming like a 3 year old.
Does he realise this is the PL, not some poncy foreign league where they don’t tackle.
Played for the German Rags so he's used to getting soft free kicks every time he falls on his arse screaming.

Good win for Liverpool. Got to say they’ve been bloody unlucky with injuries this year, but we’ve managed to capitalise on that (as we should have) to create the 4-7 point gap. You’d have to think given the difference in squad depth they’ll struggle to produce the kind of winning streak that will be needed. We’d be tough to catch full strength! Next year they’ll be back to full strength, but I think they’ve got a difficult few years to navigate with the squad - a lot of there first 11 are in there peak as well speak.

By the end of the year when they’re all back together Van Dijk will be 30, Matip 30, Thiago 30, Wijnaldum 31, Henderson 31, Mane 29, Salah 29, Firmino 30. They’ve essentially got to go and find an entirely new spine and front 3 in the next few years, although I do rate this Jota up top personally. Tough job though.

No sympathy whatsoever for the dippers.

They have a good squad when all fully fit, but klopp has flogged them for 3 years straight, no rotation in order to get the results

FSG have the gravy train running so they can concentrate on the baseball team

The sooner this despicable club and its cnut fans return to normality (mid table also rans) the better.

Yep and unless they sell a few ageing players for big bucks there yank owner won’t be splashing any cash for a new rebuild.

Well its all gone a bit wrong in the couple of weeks I havent been able to get online.
Disappointed obviously but hope it makes it all the better if we manage to get back the form and make it close.
That said it is actually great to see how close it is, although probably wont be saying that if we lose tonight and Everton and Villa win their games in hand!
I do wonder what has gone wrong and came down to thinking it is a slight change in styles and players....Thiago being the difference. Quality he may be, but he has changed the way we have played and the speed. Lets just hope it is teething troubles.
Even so fair play City for playing quality football and churning out the wins.

are you Donald trump ..

Don't get me wrong, there is a skill in producing a team that will run it's bollocks off AND applying the right tactics to get the best from that, but there is a price to be paid and they are paying it. Even youg fit professionals bodies can only take so much for so long ( 2 seasons it appears). They are paying the price in injuries and fatigue. Sports science can only do so much to counter it.

Leicester were another and us, to a certain extent, seem to have recovered from previous exertions. I expect it to hit us again in 12/18 months.

IMHO of course!

Read elsewhere from Dortmund fans that said Klopp ran his Dortmund team to the ground too. Since last season you can already see the fatigue catching up to them, and they stuttered their way to the title in the tail end of the season.
