That’s my point, it did and we were but we shouldn’t have let it.
There's various physical and mental effects of an adrenalin comedown that will affect a person after an adrenalin rush. These effects include a lack of fine muscle control and slowing down of speed of thought, not ideal when you're about to play any kind of sport at the top level.
Even if you know you're physically safe and in no harm, having bottles or whatever hit a window next to your head will cause an involuntary fight or flight response causing a release of adrenalin.
I'm sure soldiers and people in that kind of work know how to regulate their responses and control the effects but sports people don't, before games most footballers seem to be mentally preparing themselves for the game ahead and make sure they're in a calm and focused state.
The feral rats attacking out coach definitely had an effect on our performance in that game and it's not because of a lack of mental fortitude or anything like that, it's just biology.

Interesting post from a different point of discussion.

I think we can all agree however that the coach attack was a fucking disgusting and cowardly attack typical of the feral cunts who are a part of the support for the LFC, and putting our players at considerable risk of physical ( and possibly mental ) injury .

The Merseyside Police Force who stood by and let the attack happen , are a fucking disgrace and waste of public funding.

The Chief Contable of Merseyside should have been sacked for dereliction of duty and loss of his pension as a consequence.

Of course the cunts got away with it - their fans and their police force.

Well its habit forming after something is repeated again and again over time.

exactly - the cunts will carry on as there is clearly no deterent.

Innocent individuals will be maimed ( already happened to a dipper fan ) as a consequence of the feral cunts believing it " ok to do it again " .

Fucking shocking example set from a police force and a football club.An absolutely disgraceful episode from the club /police force.

Imagine if it had happened at Goodison. The press would have hung us out to dry.

I wonder how many of those involved that day actually made it into the ground? Not a lot I would imagine. I do know a lot of reds who were ashamed of the actions that day.

my problem has always been the police & clubs role in that attack, the charges should have been laid at those responsible & they thank themselves very lucky no real harm occurred.

Seems none of the "pundits" care about Englands chances in the euros as they are pressuring for the "out of form" dipper right back to be included in squad.
Goofy Gaz will obviously bow to pressure.
I would prefer any/all City players to be left out and get a rest of a decent length.

So next time, A-Team the crap out of the coach, no windows, noise cancelling headphones playing whale music for the players and staff. Job jobbed.
